At 130, Morales was not tje beast he was at 122 and 126. However, Corrales seemed somewhat weak at 130. And he was easy to hit (see Corrales/Garcia). This would be an amazing war. Who wins?

I'd pick Chico with confidence. Morales is just too stationary, and too hittable for Corrales at 130. He outboxes Corrales for awhile, but the fight NO DOUBT becomes a war at some point, and Corrales wins that war by virtue of being the bigger, stronger man with heavier artilery and very ACCURATE power punches. Morales gets slowly busted up, and by around the 9th or 10th he gets caught with a big shot that he doesn't recover from, probably Chico's infamous short left hook.

    Corrales late KO.

  3. Great great matchup. I've often salivated over this one. Corrales had more power and was bigger....but Morales had a great chin and heart heart heart for days. What a fight that would have been!!!!

I pick Corrales but not with confidence

Corrales was a frightening puncher at 130. One could make a credible argument that no 130 pounder in history had more raw power.

Yes, Arguello was a MUCH MUCH better fighter than Chico, but PURELY in terms of power... Corrales is up there with Alexis at 130.

I can't forget him hitting Angel Manfredy with GLANCING blows that were literally knocking Angel across the ring like a truck hit him.

Agreed. It seems like he was hitting guys with a baseball bat.
