[QUOTE="Anthony, post: 1688559, member: 46"the UFC will always have stars come and go. That is what happens, when you put the best against each other and dont protect an undefeated record. Being on top in the UFC doesnt last long. There is always a young hungry lion, waiting to take you out.[/QUOTE]

UFC elite fighters not lasting at the top for as long as elite boxers isn't because "the best fight the best." It's more than that. Don't play ignorant. That statement is 100% MMA fanboy shit.

Sly, much as I usually disagree with him, PERFECTLY summed it up when he said that it's easier for a top dog to lose in MMA simply because there's a lot more viarables that go into winning/losing an MMA match than a boxing match. It's a more unpredictable sport by nature than boxing, and therefore, upsets will ALWAYS be more prominent in MMA than boxing.

That's the reason why I think a lot of MMA groupies without knowledge are thinking McGregor will pull this out. Huge upsets aren't as unusual in MMA as they are in boxing.

Due to the less variables that go into determining the outcome of a boxing match, and due to the more controlled setting, the VAST majority of the time, the better fighter will win in boxing.

Brendan Schaub is more enthusiastic and energized over this event than anybody I've seen.

Possibly but it all starts with the mindset. If she's lost her self-belief then a trainer can't help her much.

Losses dont change star status in the UFC, so everything you wrote is complete nonsense. When you have top fighters fighting each other loses occur. That is why when Leonard, Hearns, Duran and Haglar were all fighting each other, all lost at one point. That is what happens. That is what is happening in MMA right now. so yes, fighting the best constantly, always fighting the #1 or #2 contender, you will have more loses on your record.

Her self belief isnt what lost her the fight. It's her lack of striking. If she knew how to actually strike, she would win more and prevent self doubt. I mean even she loses and it's competitive she could learn so much from it. But she is a quitter.

Did they limit the audience at this press conference? Im falling asleep here

True. Although after a certain amount of losses, you tend to lose your star power to a degree. A couple of losses here and there won't matter too much depending on how you come back.

I said her lack of self belief today is the reason why it will be difficult for her to mount a successful comeback. Her lack of self belief today is what is stopping her from doing Rocky style training up in the mountains to regain the desire to compete. She needs to believe in herself in order to get into hardcore training. Instead she's trying to do a career change into WWE.
As for her striking, people got fooled into thinking she could strike/box.

UFC press conferences are more exciting. Although Dana always needs to put his fat ass into the middle so he can get his own publicity.

It doesnt matter tho because she refuses to change trainers. And will never be successful even if she has mcgreggor style confidence.

McGregor isn't scared of taking punches from Mayweather because he says he's accustomed to taking shin bones to the cheekbones. That's the game he comes from. Although he's not accustomed to taking 3-4 rapid fire shots to the head and body at different angles so it's a lot different to the game he comes from.
