The ref should have warned him he needed to fight back. It was a bit premature, mcgregor was clearly just stumbling tired

    The fight went fine.....

I didnt really expect Mayweather to just go out and knock the guy out in a few rounds.....

Hes 40, inactive and fighting a much, much larger man.. this isnt 27 year old Floyd fighting an out of his league featherweight.

I also didnt expect McGregors power to translate very well either, punching in the heavier, more heavily padded gloves requires more power and technique and more importantly more muscle endurance. Conor simply wouldnt have the ability to throw powerful shots for a long period of time with his inadequate boxing training.

To be honest you are pretty daft if you think he "dragged" the fight for anything other than a tactical reason.

McGregor did well and it was not a fix, but it was a bit prearranged.

lol, he was missing with easy counters in the middle rounds when Mcgregor had his hands down and standing still after throwing 3-4 pitty pats. It amaze me that long time so called boxing fans can't even see this

It was obvious to anyone who wasnt a moron Mayweather was looking to win late when Conor tired, he slowly ramped up the activity starting the third, was just playing it careful first two rounds when Conor would be the most dangerous hed ever be then looked for the finish when Conor was basically done...

Its classic Mayweather fighting... take zero risks and give yourself highest percentage of winning the fight. Dragging a guy with less than a year of training to 10 so you can get a nice TKO on your record and look good for the press and fans when he really took about the same amount of risks he took in the Pacquiao fight

It was a rather entertaining fight. Floyd lost the first three rounds and that created serious drama. It then turned into somewhat of a slugfest. Mayweather looked horrendously bad though. Very slow and missed a great deal of punches. Was hit slot too. He didn't have the reflexes to get away from punches or to counterpunch. He just won by toughing it out

Yes he also hit many of them. A 40 year old retired boxer did not perform to your armchair expert expectations, ergo, its all a big conspiracy.

    Whatever, have at it dude.

Errol Spence would kill Mayweather right now. Floyd needs this to be his last fight

He didn't win by "slugging it out"

He won by Conor gassing out. Conor's inexperience did him in.

mcgregor has naturally bad stamina. in a sport filled with energy sapping grappling im surprised hes been so effective. i guess his boxing is just too good for these early years mma fighters

I seriously doubt Floyd had even been training since his last fight before Conor and the signing of the Conor fight. The overreaction to his poor form is ridiculous.... as are entertaining the idea that he will ever fight again. He came out of retirement to make a once in a lifetime payday he will never get with another fighter at this stage, and take a fight he had very, very, microscopic chances of losing to preserve his legacy and reputation.

Conor didn't get tired for nothing though, Floyd was hitting him to the body and turning up the heat round by round. Conor's experience had nothing to do with this, his lack of boxing skill did

Well obviously partially because of a lack of boxing skill. It was his first match

Agreed. 40-year-old welterweight comes off from a two-year vacation and takes the first rounds to feel it out before getting to work

Conor did better than most (including me) thought, but after the early rounds the bout was more one-sided that any Floyd fight in the last five years and understandably so

Just watched the fight and I don't think you guys made enough of what a beautiful boxer mcgregor is. He pretty much constantly had an angle on floyd before he gassed and controlled him in the inside despite making a big show of playing it clean....left uppercut counters from draws! Fluid switch hitting/shifting on the inside. His range and balance and use of angles, really impressive. Yeah floyd looked pretty shot but I was well impressed anyway

the counter uppercut he landed on floyd in the first round was a thing of beauty. not quite flush but still.

you could see floyd was visibly surprised by it

I thought he looked like shit after three rounds. Those gay little hammer punches he was throwing were cracking me up. The only reason he had any success was because Mayweather looked really rusty and was just walking him down letting him throw punches knowing he would get tired.

He has some shitty stamina too. It's weird how he always talks about how obsessed he is with training but he keeps getting dead tired in fights.
