Nope. Add Thurman to the list. Even little Loma would probably beat this Floyd. Even so McGregor has never had one fight. He was impressive until he gassed.

In regards to Conor I'd like him to fight Paulie. If he wins then the GGG-Canelo winner.

It's harder to land on pro boxers than wrestlers.

If McGregor is a big puncher with 4 Oz gloves on, then Jesus Christ, just imagine if a Golov or Canelo landed on a MMA guy with MMA gloves on. The MMA fighter would have to them on the ground IMMEDIATELY.

Love reading the butthurt comments sections on sports web sites right now.

"McGregor was hampered by the rules". Yeah cause they just recently changed the rules of 150 year old sport only for him on this particular night.

Disappointed in Floyd but this was nothing but a win/win for UFC and McGregor.

Fight went as expected, McGregor having basically no power and basic skills, and Floyd letting him tire out then walk him down and beat him up. Went twice as long as I expected, but looked similar. Actually McGregor was dirtier than I expected, all he fucking did was rabbit punch and mount Floyd from behind. He really only landed a left uppercut and a few jabs clean. He hit more than I expected, but it seemed to be purely because Floyd gave him no respect, and wasn't worried about his power at all.

Amazed so many people bought into McGregor's power.

I've been saying since this fight was announced Floyd would be the puncher. Despite being 20 pounds lighter he clearly hits harder than McGregor. McGregor is used to teeing off on wrestlers with no chin and no defence, with 4oz gloves. It makes his "power" seem far better than it is.

And fuck, even Bisping - the current UFC mw champ - admitted boxers hit much harder than MMA fighters.

At least the repulsive little Conor groupies that thought Conor would KO Floyd or that there is "no way little pillow fists Floyd is stopping Conor" can crawl back to whatever retarded hole they came from.

Some poster (forgot which poster) correctly pointed out about a month ago MMA is no closer to a "real fight" than boxing is. MMA has rules. Boxing has rules. A REAL fight does not.

The MISTAKE that these retards make... is thinking that boxers can't "fight".

MMA fans can eat a dick.

Also what happened to "MMA distance that Floyd won't know how to deal with", "Conor is so unorthodox", "Conor has amazing footwork and movement". "He's just so different to the other 47 guys Floyd fought". lol.

The guy was a basic yet dirty amateur boxer and nothing more. He only hung around till round 10 because Floyd let him. As soon as Floyd stepped it up, he sliced through him like butter, despite being 40, retired, and 20 pounds lighter.

Just imagine if he'd been in with Spence or Canelo of Golovkin, my god.

Spence could be suffering in the final stages of Ebola, and that fight still doesn't go past 3.

    Very entertaining fight last night.

Floyd basically did what he was supposed to do. Although he was a bit rusty, even a shot version of Floyd should have no problem vs a 0-0 boxer.

McGregor did very well for himself and proved to put up a very good fight vs one of the best ever, until the fatigue set it, which is obviously going to be a problem with someone going straight into a 12 round fight as his first match ever.

No need to Mac in the ring anymore. He proved what we already know, it's a completely different game and it probably isnt going to work out for you in the end.

Gotta give him props though, he had the balls go in there and fight a nearly impossible fight, and wasn't embarrassed like most sensible people thought he would.

McGregor would leave on a stretcher but the groupies would say the same crap. If McGregor was allowed to do toe bendies he would have won.

They bought into McGregor's power because for some reason they can't comprehend the enormous gap in hand skills between an MMA striker and a boxer.

I shit you not, and I said it last night, these fools were saying that McGregor had more power than Canelo.

I think he deserves props for doing better than expected but not for taking the fight. For that kind of money any fighter from any discipline would do it.

Golovkin seems like a scary motherfucker to face in a "real fight" scenario.

Put those two in a dark alley, under "no rules" conditions, and my money would be on Conor's bum ass rendered unconscious.

Most impressive thing about McGregor was his overall poise and general slickness, not getting hit by every shot and being prepared to stand in front of Floyd and land a few decent shots and go some good rounds.

I think it was value for £20 and didn't feel robbed.

AgREED, I do sparring f or 5 rounds with a semi-professional boxer in an underground car park in work every 2, 3 days and I've had a headache for the past 2 days.

Yesterday I fell asleep at 7am and slept until 4pm today.

I do it just to basically stay half-fit and maintain some sort of manhood about me.

For £100,000 I would fight Mayweather right now.

    Are you kidding?

All he did was hold and rabbit punch. He landed hardly anything clean. He was also being outmuscled by Floyd in the clinch despite the whole MMA community saying Floyd be clueless in the clinch against an MMA fighter, Floyd was using his classic forearm to the throat and getting the better of things in almost every clinch.

He also had no leverage or power on his inside shots, coming from a sport where clinching is so important, he was amazingly ineffective on the inside.

Yeah Floyd did look slow and fairly shot, but he still walked through McGregor with ease when he actually started fighting.

Conor would get mutilated by any good prime welter/Jr middle.

I feel Mayweather dragged him and employed a strategy that gave McGregor the best hope of not being embarassed. I feel there was at least a tacit agreement to make this fight as entertaining as possible while preserving both fighter's reputation. I think the last time I've seen Mayweather employ little to no movement and walk down an opponent might have been 15 years ago. McGregor, despite surprising me with that nice uppercut and a few jabs and cross here and there, looked clumsy in the ring and his chin was up in the air for the whole fight. I think Mayweather saw that but chose to wait a little bit to exploit that for entertainment's sake.

Both of them looked so happy at the end of the fight. I couldn't help thinking they felt complicit in that incredible scam they just had pulled. I'm reading here that even some of our very educated fans got conned by that scam.

    Smoke and mirrors!

    Of course.

Personally, I don't know why we bother wasting so much time explaining this shit to MMA and Conor groupies.

The Mac vs Floyd affair was a controlled experiment, with just a hint of realness about it.

Nah, I cannot completely agree there, McGregor obviously has a good athletic base and a fairly decent radar. Like I said, yesterday was a controlled experiment, but McGregor at least doesn't have the Gatti disease of getting hit by punches that weren't even thrown. Gatti would get bruised during shadow-boxing.
