I'd be very surprised. Thurman isn't easy to "fuck up". Spence is definitely the better fighter though...on paper it isn't a close fight but Thurman has mad intangibles going for him which will make it close.

Crawford is a better technician than Brook, but Brook is a bigger puncher.

I maintain that if Crawford can't hurt and deter Spence, he'll lose.

    We'll see next year.

I think Spence ends Thurman inside of 7.

Spence is the ANTI-McGregor. He appears to have the best stamina in the sport.

We'll see, well I hope we see, you know what boxing is like. I think we can all agree it's one hell of a fight though.

Well, it ain't gonna happen in 2018. But Spence will be unified champ next year, and Crawford figures to have a belt after he no doubt beats the very limited Horn.

So Spence will be recognized as THE welterweight champion. It'll be on Crawford to take that label.

Thurman is not some skill-less bum or leap amateur. He knows what he's doing and can fight. If he was any of the aforementioned things, he would have been found out long before now.

On the flipside, he did have close fights with both Porter and Garcia - two pretty average fighters at world level - so Spence would be a big favourite. Don't think it's an easy fight for Spence though.

I'm not sure what to make of Thurman, he's obviously got something about him, but I still don't really rate him. He's not a leap amateur but he's not really a great technician either, he's not slow but by the same token I wouldn't say he's particularly fast, he's no feather fist but he isn't somebody I would describe as a knockout artist. I dunno, he's vanilla ice cream basically, not bad but far from the best.

I think Spence vs Crawford is the fight to build at 147.

I don't see Thurman getting into that mix, honestly. He'll likely be stripped of the one of those belts and he'll milk his reign until he can no longer avoid Spence or Crawford.

Someone would have tell me what Thurman brings to the table than Spence didn't see against Brook. Spence is most vulnerable to right hands, and Brook is the best right hand puncher at welter. He nailed Spence with his best shots, and nothing happened. Spence passed the chin test with flying colors. I mean, even GOLOV was more buzzed by Brook than Spence was.

I can only see Spence-Thurman playing out one way... Thurman does well the first 3 rounds with his quickness and afffffleticism. But Spence stays composed, cuts off the ring, closes the distance with his jab, and once he starts landing his power shots, the gap in class becomes painfully apparent.

I got Spence between 6-8. A body barrage most likely ends it.

Pretty much how I feel. He's unexceptional, but kind of solid in his own way, and clearly knows how to fight otherwise like I said - he would have been found out by now.

Gotta disagree about vanilla ice cream though. If you get a real legit vanilla ice cream, it's actually the best.

The best one you can get in a supermarket is Duchy, give it a try sometime :D

I'm actually a Thurman fan. He's very exciting, he has heart, and he's got charisma.

He also comes across as a really cool guy if you met him in person. Seems down-to-earth and grounded, like he'd have no problem talking with his fans.

He's not a bad fighter at all, but I feel Spence is a different caliber.

    I rank them 1) Gervonta, 2) Crawford, 3) Spence.

I think they all look excellent and all are potential top 5 p4p type guys. Davis is the least proven, but he's also the youngest.

I think it's pretty easy to put them in any order and if any fail to pan out it will be Davis because the other two have already panned out.
I just think Davis has the most talent and he's young enough to continue to improve, perhaps noticeably.

LMAO! Leave it to Mike to say some shit.

There's literally 1% chance that Davis ever reaches the level of TC/Spence.

I know he's young, but even when Khan was young it was apparent he had low boxing acumen. I get the same feeling watching Davis.

Craw and Spence are better thinkers in the ring than Davis will ever be. That I assure you,

That's ridiculous. Thurman has shown so far a willingness to fight the best. I get that you hate him, but at least try to criticize him for real reasons

I did not see Davis' last fight but ultimately I think he is too short to be a major threat. How tall is he?

There's validity to Thurman not being in a rush to fight Spence in the past. However, I do think that fight will happen in 2018.

Probably not til the second half of the year though, since I'm sure Thurman will want a tune-up first. But hey, his last two opponents were Porter and Garcia, and he'll have been out of the ring for awhile, so he's entitled to a tune-up.

Davis seems to rely on his power more than anything else. He's still young and raw so he should improve, but right now I would not put him in the same talent bracket as Crawford and Spence. His last fight told me a bit more about him though. Was hit to the body a lot and looked ploddy. He does pull out nice quick accurate shots though that look good.

Spence is very methodical which I really like. He breaks you down physically and mentally. He really impressed me against Brook who I thought fought very well.

There's just something that extra bit special about Crawford for me. He's a real sharp-shooter, is accurate, skilful, menacing and has lightning quick reflexes. A real joy to watch.

There could be more than 5 better than Mikey Garcia, but you can make a case for him to be in the top 5, perhaps as high as you want. Has he ever had a close fight?

Crawford is the one that boxrec likes. He's at #2 right now.

There are a lot of very talented, very good guys right now.
