I was fucking amazed the ref didn't at least give him a stern warning or point deduction.

He landed 3 jabs, a left uppercut, and 107 rabbit punches/hammer fists.

 

Why is everyone arguing that Conor gassed in the fight? It's pretty obvious that he was going to gas and everyone knew it. He's not a boxer. This shit is just going in circles!

 

Or it's a combinaison of all these reasons

I said before this fight, earlier in this thread, that there was no way I could imagine Conor lasting the distance. I gave three reasons:

1. He's not used to throwing punches for 3 mins for 12 rounds
2. He's not used to avoiding punches for 3 mins for 12 rounds
3 he's not used to taking punches to both head and body for 3 mins for 12 rounds

Boxing stamina is a completely different thing to MMA stamina

Specifically, MMA guys are not used to being punched repeatedly in the gut...that saps your energy. From the moment Floyd found his range and started that body attack I knew Conor only had a few rounds left in him

 

the 'put hands behind back for a tenth of a second' move McGregor did a few times was pretty funny

 

MMA idiots have now adopted the narrative that Conor "dominated the first 3 rounds."

Ok, guys. Ok. Whatever helps you sleep better at night.

The fight was over the moment Floyd decided he was done playing.

Why are you worried about what they are saying? Did they somehow convince you that this match was legit?

 

Not at all. Just find it amusing that all their predictions came not to pass, and they're trying to save face.

They said that Floyd had never faced a guy as quick and as powerful as Conor. And they said that Conor would manhandle Floyd when the two got close. The fact that Floyd is the one who ended up throwing Conor around the ring like a rag roll, and bullying him on the inside like he was a child has to sting them. They no doubt had the false impression that boxing is a non-physical sport on the inside with no rough tactics.

With that said, this is my wrap-up post on May-McGregor.

I'm ready to dedicate 100% of my thoughts to debating Golov-Ginger.

 

If one of Rigondeaux and Lomachenko is better than the other then it is by an absurdly miniscule margin. They're both incredible fighters.

Some poster seriously claimed that McGregor could beat Lara.

Personally, I never questioned Conor's conditioning. I'm sure the guy trains like a beast. Almost certainly no poster on here could get through Conor's training regime without passing out. But some guys naturally have lesser tanks than others, and a few MMA posters on here stated that he isn't known for great stamina in the octagon either.

I fully undertstand that his stamina failed so quickly because of the sport adjustment. But at this rate, it would take him several YEARS of committed boxing training to develop decent boxing stamina, and he'd need to hire a REAL boxing trainer. At 30, I doubt he wants to do all that.

His poor boxing stamina won't be fixed if he elects to go for a second fight.

 

Not really. I wasn't going after MMA guys this time. The statements I see at Eastside are just so ridiculous that I feel the need to share them sometimes.

I once saw an Eastside poster claim that Khan could beat a prime Chavez Senior.

I would love to see if that waif would yell that shit in McGregors face.
