Winnable Mythical Matchups for Kostya Tszyu

Tszyu, the most picked on fighter in MM history, put him in some match ups he'd definitely win.

I'll start:

Tszyu vs Provodnikov. Kostya turns Provo's face into something gruesome.

 

VS Chico.

I like Corrales a lot more, and I think he was a better p4p guy, but he probably get beaten down at 140

Vs Meldrick Taylor. I think he stops Taylor after coming from behind

 

Nope.

Tszyu didn't have the intangibles and stamina that Chavez had. If he fell way behind in a fight, I don't think he had the heart to stage a comeback.

He wasn't a Victor Ortiz level pussy, but Tszyu did have a lot of front runner in him.

not only too big, he moves too well and is active enough to outwork him with his weird style. Tszyu would be coming on late, but i think it would be too little too late

 

It's purely size that would be winning Keith the fight.

We always disagree on the impact of these unecessary weightclasses. No need to have this debate again.

 

There can be a substantial difference between junior welter and welter.

Pryor, for instance, was a fucking monster at 140... but I think he'd get eaten alive by Leonard at 147.

 

Tszyu would have beaten DSG to a pulp.

yeah Tszyu would have beaten these 3 guys. Bradley has the better chance, but even then I wouldn't make him a favorite

 

Bradley would have zero chance against Tszyu.

 

you underate Bradley big time if you think so. Guy was though as hell and very ressourceful. While he ddidn't deserve the win against Pac, he gave a very good account of himself. And Pac was a much much better fighter than Tszyu. I could see him outhuslting Tszyu using his strenght and some mauling.

Tszyu is imo ver very overrated. Guy best win was against the very limited Judah, and he looked shitty against a lot of average fighters. No way is he a lock over Bradley

 

Nah, I think you're overrating Bradley. The closest he ever saw to a guy of Tszyu's style was Provo, and you saw happened.

 

Provo doesn't fight at all like Tzsyu, and he's much more of a warrior. Tszyu had a bit of dog in him

 

Oh, Tszyu did have dog in him. But it would take a certain fighter to bring that dog out of him. Tszyu wasn't like Victor Ortiz, where all you have to do is hit him back and he'll shit himself.

Bradley didn't have the power to bring the dog out of Tszyu. And if you can't deter Tszyu with power, you had better be a masterful boxer. And Bradley wasn't that either.
