It may be a tad early to be honest. Spence has the potential to have beaten Oscar...but I'll like to see him in with a Thurman or Crawford before I can safely make a pick.
HOLD UP! Thissssss fuckin guy. I remember the day after Spence stopped Brook, you SURE that Spence would beat a prime Mosley, or a prime Curry. But in the case of DLH, "We need more evidence..." Sorry, but in what fantasy world is Oscar a different level welter than Mosley and Curry?
*Sigh* If only boxing were as simple as you see it. Curry is fragile. Ergo Spence stops him eventually. Mosley can't box, fights in spurts and has a useless jab, Ergo Spence outhustles him clearly. De La Hoya is tall, powerful and had a very good jab. Stylewise it's a different fight. How many times do I have to tell you that styles makes fights? I have enough information to know that Spence beats Mosley and Curry but not enough information on how he handles Oscar.
Well, if you wanna analyze flaws that can be exposed - Oscar is stiff, has low stamina, and his exclusively dependent of the left hand style figures to be neutralized by a quality southpaw. Mosley's style would be a lot more problematic for Spence.
Oscar's left hook would definitely test Spence's chin. And his hand speed and agility would make him the favorite. However lets also keep in mind that Spence has longer arms than Quartey, is quicker, and really knows how to break down the body. I'm with X... Lets see how Spence looks in taking apart Thurman, assuming Thurman wants that fight.
