Fights where you feared for a fighter's life

  1. James Toney v Iran Barkley should've gone to the judges, too.
One of the most perfect displays of boxing ever almost ruined by a stoppage...

Usually I'd agree with you, I don't want to see even someone like Broner take a life threatening beating, but Plasterito was such a vile, disgusting piece of shit that endangered the lives of other boxers by cheating with his magic wraps and showed no hint of remorse, that I enjoyed every minute of Pacquiao beating the absolute fuck out of him and breaking his face.

Yeah, Margarito was/is a nasty piece of work.

  4. Even with all of that backstory that beating was too savage for my sensibilities

Jones-Johnson for me. The way Jones' head hit the mat and the position he remained in after had me wondering if he wasn't seriously injured. It was just while watching the fight though. I think the fact that this ko shocked me so much (I mean Johnson was not known as a monstrous puncher at all so a ko was unlikely) probably contributed to my reaction to the ko.

Rewatching it, it was a pretty standard ko.

Jones has probably made me fear for his life more than any other fighter since his demise.

He looked dead after the Lebedev ko too.

Funny because Jones and Lebedev intersect with another guy I was absolutely sure was going to die in the ring, Enzo Mac, who is starting to look more and more like Christy Mack

Good call on Jones. The Johnson and Lebedev KOs were horrible, kind of hard to watch.

    Bingo!

Margarita and Pac Fought in the Dallas Area and it was SICKENING How that Glove Loading Piece of Shit was Paraded Around the City, Receiving Awards, Kissing Babies, Doing Interviews, etc...Literally HUNDREDS of Mexican Fans Showed Up Wherever Margarita was Scheduled to Be, and Treated Him Like a National Hero...

MANNYfuckingPACQUIAO was Basically an Afterthought by Comparison!!!...

Only Other Time REED was as Thoroughly DISGUSTED was the Day he Saw Antonio Tarver in Person...

The 1 and ONLY Time REED's WISHED Harm Upon a Fighter and ENJOYED Witnessing it was Pac-Margarito...

    Can't Disagree...

It's for this Reason REED's Only Seen 2 of Roy's Fights Since '09 and NONE Since the RE w/BHop...

  15. Roy Jones Jr being KOd is highly entertaining in the way Amir Khan gets KOd: two pretty athletic fighters with fast hands and terrible chins - you just know you're going to get your money's worth
