Yes, Tito hit harder than GGG...but Tito wouldn't be able to take Canelo's punches as well as GGG did. That's the thing. I pick Tito to win...but I don't seem him stopping Canelo

Canelo has a solid chin, but he appears to have some give in him. The way he goes into a shell when pressed is telling to me.

Yeah, Canelo is a weird one. I'd say his chin must be excellent, I've never seen him really hurt - including against Golovkin - yet he's actually somewhat easy to back up and discourage with shots. Maybe his chin is rock solid but he just really doesn't like getting hit?

If Canelo couldn't seriously hurt Cotto, I can't see him keeping Tito off all night. You'd also have to explain to me how a near washed up Cotto can take 4 rounds off of Canelo, yet somehow a prime Trinidad won't do any better.

Cotto was also giving up major size. Against Gennady, that was out the window and Canelo was clueless when pressured and backed up.

Boxing is a funny sport. Shit like that happens all the time. Vargas took at least six rounds off Wright yet Trinidad took Zero rounds off Wright. What is the answer to that conundrum?

The answer is vargas didn't take 6 rounds off wright. And alvarez gets his shit pushed all the way in by trinidad

Vargas was in his prime. When Trinidad fought Wright, he was anything but. Looked fat, out of shape, and had lost a lot of his sharpness and hand speed. If we go back and look at Trinidad-Mayorga, even in that fight Tito looked slow. Mayorga would not go 8 rounds against a prime Tito, for my money.

You think Prime Trinidad would have fared much better? Look at how bad prime Trinidad looked against both Oscar and Hopkins. Wright would have easily beaten any version of Trinidad IMO. Styles

You're one of those mythical matchups warriors I see. What was your prediction for GGG-Alvarez by the way...not win/lose but how did you predict the fight would go?

Canelo goes into a shell/survival mode at some point and drops a clear decision. Tito could have trouble with movement, but Canelo's feet are pretty slow.

You forget Winky himself was a different fighter too. He was much more offensive minded and risk taking when he was at 154, and hadnt yet patented his turtle shell defense. He didn't use movement to beat Trinidad. He stood in front of him, and kept him off balance with his strength, size, and jab.

I'm not 100% convinced the version of Wright that arguably beat Vargas and was dropped repeatedly against Harry Simon beats the Trinidad that cleaned out 154. I think it's a totally different fight.
