Ghostbusters vs Back To the future

?

 

15 year old hut would bottle me for this but I slightly prefer ghostbusters at this point. More appeal to grown ups I guess and I can watch it any time any where, over and over

 

I love both films but let's be honest...BTTF is far superior.

Back to the Future I think but I'm not sure. Both are great and Bill Murray in Ghostbusters is fucking tremendous.

Ghostbusters is highly entertaining but back to the future is a classic. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Ghostbusters.

 

BTTF is clearly better because it has a more complex story and touches on many more emotions. Many of the characters are fleshed out much more than in GB.

GB is purely just action and comedy with a much simpler straightforward story.

 

Back To The Future is vastly overrated, it's corny-as-fuck, and its one of those movies dumb Joe Public has become 'conditioned' to like.
Plus it wreaks of advertising.
Also it stars Christopher Lloyd...
Oh, and the sequels were wank.


Ghostbusters is also better because it made more money at the box office.

 

Let me guess. In order to figure out which film was better, you had to go with the one you hated the least.

By the way, other than the Christopher Lloyd part, there was not one factual comment in your BTTF breakdown. Every line was typical opinionated hate, added to the desperate attempt to use box office numbers to make your point. Your entire post my as well just say "delete".

Back To the Future via KO. Not even a fair match.

'Ghostbusters' was just a popular commercial hit with a catchy song. Only nostalgic kids who grew up to make online reviews have elevated it to a higher status. When it opened it had mixed reviews. On the other hand 'Back to the future' is a freaking classic. It had an intelligent plot where you can go back to repeated viewings and catch something cool you missed the first time. When it opened it was universally praised with many critics comparing it to the works of Frank Capra and put director Robert Zemeckis among the A-list directors where he has consistently remained. But then look at 'Ghostbusters' director, Ivan Reitman's resume and you will find a HUGE list of rotten turkeys you have mercifully forgotten. 'BTTF' is a legendary Hollywood classic film while 'Ghostbuster', like 'Beverly Hills Cop' was just a popular commercial product of the 80's that failed to deliver on sequels and remakes.

Ghosbusters by a country mile. Cannot BELIEVE you doods have voted BTTF. Ghostbusters destroys it, as a child and an adult.

I think the reason 'Future' gets a lot of praise is a demographic: people remember it like they remember Star Wars (like I do and I'm guilty and admit it) as the best of that franchise....even though The Empire Strikes Back is now universally considered the best.

 

To be honest it makes no sense to argue about who’s right in their opinion about a freaking film. I mean it’s all opinionated and most people like both films anyhow. So if you think Ghostbusters is better than BTTF just understand that that’s your opinion...and it’s wrong, so very very much wrong.
