Rambo: First Blood Part II vs Commando

I barely remember First Blood Part 2, but I'd venture say Commando, despite being the most unrealistic movie of all time, is a lot more fun and watchable.

 

Both equally rediculous. Commando was more fun.

 

I love Commando. That film is dumb as shit and they all looked like they loved filming it. Rambo while also good took itself far more seriously.

I'd watch Commando over Rambo any day.

LOL. Exactly. Commando didn't take itself seriously.

 

Rambo for me. I went to the theater to see it twice as a kid. Today Rambo is much better than Commando which has aged terribly.

In 2017, Commando is STILL one of the most fun action movies to watch. I've never heard a single person say they DISLIKE Commando.

How could you dislike Commando? It's a fucking HILARIOUS movie!

Rambo, as Genius says, takes itself FAAR too seriously.

 

The funny thing is...Commando DID take itself seriously. The humour is unintentional. At the time everyone thought of it as a serious action film. Just with time action films have gotten more realistic.

To answer the thread I always preferred Commando to Rambo.

Exactly. That comedy was absolutely unintentional as Commando did take itself just as seriously as Rambo did. People are just making excuses for how ridiculous they know it is.

Also even though I never said in my post that I disliked Commando, to be honest I think I kind of did. Whenever I tried to rewatch it back in the day I just found it kind of boring and it was on a couple years ago and trying to watch it then I found it unwatchable.

 

I LOOOOVE Rambo: First Blood Part II. My favorite in the Rambo series and one of the greatest 80's action films. Commando? watched that crappy film at a friend's house and we all hated it! Never watched it again nor will.

 

Rambo all day long for me. Rambo first blood is the dogs bollocks, though.

 

First Blood is probably the first of the 80s action movies genre and imo, the best.
