If Kovalev can't bomb out Calzaghe, this would turn very interesting because Joe had a really good 12 round engine and despite his unpretty style, had a very good ring IQ. 50-50 fight for me. Calazaghe is hittable, but tough and never relents. Kovalev does have some give in him, and maybe Calzaghe could bring that out in the late rounds.
I think Kovalev drops Calzaghe at least once but if Joe Makes it past round 7 it'll be all Calzaghe from there on out. Tough to call.
Kovalev crushes him imo. His jab would land a lot, and he'll hurt JC (who seemed shaky at 175) whenever he lands. Terrible matchup for Calzaghe.
Possibly. Kovalev has that kind of power. But I have question marks about what happens if Calzaghe makes it out of those scary moments, as far as how that would affect Kovalev. Calzaghe has a better gas tank than Ward, and he LIVED on the inside. I think it's a tough call, honestly.
Calzaghe is leagues above Nathaaaan. Cleverly tried to fight like Calzaghe due to Enzo being his cornerman but had 0.00000001% of Joe's ability.
