    Psycho - what makes it realistic is the fact she doesn't just fall over and die...her reaction to being stabbed multiple times...

    Sly already posted that one all time favorite scene from Chariots of Fire, but the opening titles scene with Vangelis theme is iconic til this day and film students study it like the masterpiece it is.



    The parting of the Red Sea from 'The Ten Commandments' IMO the most spectacular scene in film history.



    Planet of the Apes (1968) ending one of the best twist/surprises in cinema


    Star Wars opening spaceship shot blew EVERYONE away in sheer amazement...look at the size of THAT!!!


    Close Encounters of the Third Kind 'Barnstorming/arrival of the scout ships coming out from the cloud formation. Best marriage of image and sound ever put on film. It still gives me goosebumps!
