The movie lacks intelligence. It is a fun blockbuster actionmoviem. Not really special imo.

The movie opened overseas to the tune of $109 million. Pretty impressive for a Thor movie.

 

Thor is my second favourite MCU sub-franchise after Captain America. The Thor Films in aggregation were better than the Iron man films IMO (although the first Iron Man film is better than both of the first two Thor films). I think Thor is a very underrated sub-franchise.

 

There was never anything to forgive. I just hope that you can forgive yourself one day.....and your parents for conceiving you in incest.

Not me. I think the Thor films are pretty crappy and silly. They’re also kind of boring by having lame main characters like Natalie Portman, her scientist friend and that one hottie friend or sister who always follow her around. The supporting story in Thor just doesn’t come close in comparison to the ones in Iron Man 1 & 2 and Captain America 2 & 3.

At any rate I’m going to see Thor part 3 tomorrow and I’m hoping it isn’t anything like the first 2.

 

brother you missed the real beauty of the Thor films: Asgard!! The rainbow bridge, Odin, heimdall, worm holes to different worlds etc. That’s what makes those films...forget natalie Portman and her big tittied friend.

 

I’m sorry but I much prefer the witty and interesting dialogue, deeper story and better overall action of Iron Man and Captain America over some damn pretty CGI visuals.

 

Odin and heimdall are better characters than any characters in iron man

 

After this film, Marvel will rethink of ending the Thor films with a trilogy, but then each 'Part 3' of their characters have always been more successful than the previous ones, so maybe they'll stick to their plan of an Ant-Man trilogy, a GOTG trilogy, a Doctor Strange trilogy, a Black Panther trilogy, a Spidey trilogy, a Captain Marvel trilogy before moving on to newer characters trilogies and keeping the old guard as Avengers guest stars.

 

Iron Man 3 was more successful than its predecessors ?

Now hating Ironman 3 is something I can agree with. Next to GOTG 2 its my least favorite MCU film. I never understood why Ironman 2 was pretty much universally disliked, it’s one of my favorites.
