Album Covers Thread

This thread is for album covers you like or think are great or whatever... post whatever you want

I'll get it going with some of my favorite covers

 

How do you display these? Just paste the link?

 

When you go to post, club click on the little picture icon (next to the smilie on your control panel) and then a pop up will appear for you to paste your link which will make the image appear

 

Ignore the word "club" in that post... autocorrect sucks

 

Actually opened up into a full-sized mock 24-page newspaper!

 

Their album "Stand Up" had a pop up group photo in it, if I remember correctly

 

Yep. When you opened the sleeve, the band 'stands up'!

 

Haha yes... my father had that album which was weird because he didn't have any others by them and I don't recall him ever listening to them or talking about them

 

Jethro Tull are a strange one. They get labelled as 'Progressive Rock' but they'e anything but.
They were a blues-rock in the late 60s, then did 2-3 'spoof' Prog-rock albums and then did the majority of stuff based around blues-folk hybrids from the Mid-70s onward...

 

Lotus by Santana in 1973 was a fucking insane triple-live-album multi-pullout affair...which was only available in Japan until years later:

Atom Heart Mother has always been a favorite cover of mine, good choice

 

I always liked Chicago album covers just for the fact they werent terribly amazing or brilliant designs but had a random theme and always had the same logo embedded.

 

Definitely, they got a lot of mileage out if that logo
