With the exception of Steven Adams who fouled out, both teams left their starters in for the entire duration of the three overtime’s. It got to the point where I began to wonder if all the coaches knew it was within the rules to make substitutions during overtime.

It’s no wonder OKC went on to lose to a Porzinger-less Knicks squad the next day; not that it would have been surprising had the lost to them after a rest day.

Did anyone catch that sequence when Embid pulled a Draymond Green and kicked Adams in the nuts while he (Embid) was taking a jump shot? I think most people even the tv crew missed it but I was watching a replay and after seeing Adams grab his crotch in pain I rewound it.

Conley out for the season. One of my favorite "under-rated" players to watch, but he seems to miss time nearly every year.

 

And now OKC’s championship aspersions have likely gone up in smoke. Andre Roberson tore his patella tendon and is done for the season. I’ll bet he’ll come back next season and never regain the lateral foot speed that made him one of the top 2 or 3 man to man defenders in the league. If that’s true he’s pretty much useless and will eventually be bought out and out of the league because his offense is nonexistent.

I used to be a harsh Roberson critic but this season Dre has been his best self. Even if he can’t shoot his defense and ability to not hurt the offense has made him invaluable and this is a devastating loss for OKC.
