The joke was good for about 3/4 of 'Deadpool'...

I loved all the little Mad magazine-like Easter eggs in the background: there is the LOGAN theater marquee and the poster in the alley; the 'Nathan Summers is cumming soon' graffiti in telephone booth referencing Deadpool's X-Men partner Cable; the Superman:The Movie main theme music; the 'Firefly' poster; the Alley Cats graffiti; the zip-it, Stan Lee; the FOXy graffiti and the 'True Romance' theme while laying his head on the corpse's belly.

It's basically just Ryan Reynold's own 'schtick'...

 

It will make more money than the first one.

 

I never mentioned anything about money....unlike you whose only agenda regarding any movie is how much money it makes. :scratcher:

And that’s the problem. They already know the fans will go see it which means they’re going to halfass the writing/plot which means it’ll be a shit burger much like Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 was and much like GOTG2 some fans might be so brainwashed they might actually think it’s good.

Also the director from the first film has already been replaced due to creative differences with Ryan Reynolds.

 

Agreed but I iked Guardians2 - during the first viewing, I felt they were trying to hard and the music wasnt as good, but it was a worthy sequel.
Deadpool I just dont like.

 

Deadpool is about the only post-Avengers era Marvel schlock, that I've actually enjoyed quite a bit.

 

Yeah I liked Deadpool. I find it infinitely more rewatchable than both GOTG films, neither of which I’m very fond of.

Granted it's better the all the other Avengers shit put together, but it's still the same fucking template with quirkier characters.

 

BTW, I'm convinced Disney is buying reviewers off for each and every Marvel movie that comes out (Avengers stuff in particular), and then paying reviewers off to slag off any DC related movie that comes out and doesn't involve an alleged "feminist" superhero (too risky to trash).

How else to explain every Marvel movie that comes out being hailed, "the greatest comic book movie ever made", right on the heels of the last "greatest comic book movie ever made".

It's sickening, this trashy shit gets better scores then "Goodfellas" and "Schindler's List".

 

Millennials with their short-attention span don't give two shits about those two films.

Deadpool is superhero comedy. Just like Thor Ragnarok was. I enjoyed them and they made lots of money. Doesn't mean they are quality though.

I watched Thor Ragnarok again the other week - switched-off after 45 mins.

 

I dunno what's more overrated - Deadpool or Ryan Reynolds.

 

They say each Marvel movie is done in a genre. Some are straight action, others are action mixed with comedy or dramas. You even have The New Mutants coming soon which will be the first horror version.

So although pretty much all the films have some element of comedy I don’t think every Marvel film will be comedy based like Thor Ragnarok or Dead Pool. Black Panther isn’t.

 

Ragnarok was one film which shouldn’t have been a comedy. It was about the end of the Gods and of Asgard!!! What cunt thought this was comedic material ?
