As the fatigue sets in, it seems that Groves' technique prevails more and more. Still, Eubank wins several exchanges as he forces Groves to clinch
Groves won 117-112, 116-112 and 115-113. Correct result, and judges knew better than the social media which was screaming a shutout Groves fought a very good tactical battle whereas Eubank still was too raw despite his indisputable talent. The bout was more intense than actually good
Basically, Eubank Jr ran out of ideas around Rd7 and looked like Ron Lyle at times toward the end. Credit to Groves, I thought he´d started to gas around 9 or 10...
I knew Groves would have way way too much for him. Eubank is a limited Turd, an unintelligent, unimaginative dullard who has managed to fuse a privileged upbringing with legitimate athleticism and boxing pedigree and come up with the sum total of precisely fuck all. He can't talk, he can't think, he can't act and now it turns out he can't fucking fight. A clown.
I read a quote where apparently 10 or 11 writers out of 30 had Groves down to win. Madness. Do these people actually follow boxing??
The father was a tough hard man who fought a lot of dudes and who legitimately learned his trade the hard, old-school way. He also had a perfectly acceptable cynical opinion of the fight business. His current buffoonery is just that, but is explainable for reasons we don't have to go in to. Suffice it to say, he's missing the big time and tries to re-live it via his son. That's wrong but it's understandable. The son is a classic modern brat. A paupers David Haye. And that says it all. He's a hard man in his own right but he is not engaging or entertaining in or out of the ring. He seems a classic bully and downright spoiled brat.
Comedy Gold. When a commentator as a shit as Ronald McIntosh actually get's it right by saying............"Eubank is putting everything into........ these swings"
Retire Kevin. Please just pack it in mate. George Groves beats Chris Eubank Jr on points despite shoulder injury drama
More comedic brilliance. It seems British Fight Nights are the prompt for utter comedic brilliance from all angles.
At the end of the day, this crop of suppermiddles can't hold a handle to the Ward, Froch, Kessler trio of 8 years ago.
I think Groves has proven that he belonged to the same ring as Froch. Also it is arguable if the WBSS includes the best super-middles of this moment. That being said I do agree nobody of these is on Ward's level but there is no shame in that
LOL He lost. He could have been fighting Mayweather and I would have taken the piss just the same. He's a fucking clown and his dads a clown and it's got fuck all to do with his being half a chap.
Groves got waxed by a past it Froch. Froch at that point had definitely lost a step from the Taylor/Pascal/Bute fight... yet still twice stopped Groves.
Is Eubank Jr that bad though? It´s not like Groves is a shot, 2-steps-slower fighter - guy is a solid boxer.
