Foreman/Lyle is a poor measuring stick for both Foreman and Lyle... it's a strange fucking fight with both guys fighting in a manner unlike their usual selves

I don't even know how to explain what occurred in that fight other than Foreman being desperate from the get go to impress the world with a quick KO because he was still shell shocked from the Ali loss and Lyle simply responding in kind because he didn't really have a choice ... it's a complete oddity

We don’t know enough about AJ yet but on potential he’d bury Frazier and is capable of beating foreman

I would also think so. I don't see AJ taking these left hook well, and he'd have a lot of difficulty landing on his bobing and weaving ass. Sure, AJ might bomb him out, but Frazier getting koed by everyone that can punch is an absurd cliche.

It's usually an absurd cliche used by Sly ad nauseam.

Other than Foreman, only other guys with the firepower and accuracy to ice Frazier early would be Tyson and Lewis.

Frazier was a bad man in his prime, and I've stated numerous times that he's probably the most disrespected all time great.

My opinion isn't just because of Foreman...Bonavena dropped him twice also. If a guy like Oscar B can drop Frazier twice, you don't think 6'7", 240lb, 100% KO ratio Joshua could do it?? LMAO...you guys are crazy AND inconsistent with your "logic". Frazier is "too big" for Marciano but Joshua isn't too big for him?

Joshua isn't just a big dope like Primo Carnera or Valuev...Joshua is athletic with his size and throws punches in bunches, has good uppercuts etc. Come on guys...he totally fucks Frazier up.

Bonaveva dropped Frazier in what his 11th pro fight?

How'd he do in the rematch against a prime Frazier? Ate hooks

WTF kinda logic is this? How dare you guys come up against The Sly One with your somewhat primitive arguments? You're as good as dead.

It was just TWO YEARS between fights. So you're trying to tell me that he wasn't prime in 66 at age 22 but was suddenly prime in 68 at age 24?

With that logic how come GGG, Chavez, Tyson, Morales and a multitude of other fighters didn't suffer knockdowns in their first 11 fights and their first 22 years of existence. You can't just dismiss KDs of a full grown man to a non-puncher like that.

Also it's not like Frazier was a novice...he was a 1964 Olympic champion.

Did "Prime" Frazier even manage to drop Bonavena in the rematch with all these hooks the Argentinian ate? No...but you want me to believe that he's dropping a 240lb, 6'7", athletic and powerful man. GTFOH! Joshua v.s Frazier would be man against boy. The size difference would be ridiculous.

Now bonavena is a "non puncher"

You just make it up as you go along

There's exceptions of course but I'd say a guy (especially a heavyweight) is probably gonna be more seasoned and "prime" in fight number 21 as a champion having faced a higher caliber of competition in his previous 10 fights than he did in his first 11 than he will be in fight number 11 against his first real quality opponent

I know CRAZY concept but good fighters tend to improve with experience

Ali got floored by Sonny Banks and Henry Cooper, and went life and death with Light Heavyweight Doug Jones and a sliding Bonavena ... clearly he gets killed by AJ

AJ has the advantage of coming up in the Floyd era. He learned how to properly box unlike those 70s cavemen who learned how to box from that unskilled brawler Ray Robinson.

If Walker Smith knew how to box like AJ, maybe he wouldn't have been an inconsistent 127-1.

Cdogg and I agree on topics probably 60% of the time. The other 40%, we disagree. So the whole "sidekick" shit has no basis and makes no sense.

The whole forum agrees that you're biased toward contemporary fighters, and we all know you believe any Joe Blow in history with power would KO Joe Frazier.

That's way more impressive than Ezzard Charles beating Archie Moore three times

I don't who that Archie Moore is that you speak of, but if he's a light heavyweight surely he couldn't have beaten Calzaghe.

    Haven't you seen Calzaghe-Lacy??????

Many people agree with cdogg on many things but only you appear as a sidekick. Even when you disagree with him you do it as respectfully and tentatively as possible. You seem to always want to impress him. You're a sick little sidekick, and I may as well just respond to your master when you post as he controls you.
