Trinidad gives him a beat down. It would be more one sided than Trinidad-Vargas.

My opinion on this matchup is unchanged. Tito stops Canelo. Trinidad had a different type of power than Golovkin. GGG has the thudding, break you down, badly hurt you type power. Tito had snapping power that separated you from your senses.

I think Canelo might be slightly up on the cards until Tito warms up and finds the range.... from that point on it gets ugly for the Ginger.

I dont think ggg is better than tito. Trinidad would give an ugly beating to the ginger. Canelo might floor him, but thats the only succes he would have

Trinidad should win but the thing with Tito is that every now and then he seemed so clueless it was embarrassing. Look at him vs Hopkins and Winky. Cagey guys sometimes threw Tito off his game. Canelo can be fairly cagey at times . Canelo has a good chin and he’s not that easy to hit flush.

LMFAAOOOO @ comparing Shitnelo to prime Hopkins and Wright.

Tito actually had a higher ring IQ than Canelo.

I didn't factor that in at all. Must I avoid commenting on any matchup that involves a guy that faced Floyd?

Canelo is not on the level of Vargas, let alone Hopkins and Wright.

You had to have a certain level of skill and ring smarts to beat Trinidad that Canelo simply does not possess.

Put it this way, Canelo didn't even beat Lara yet he has a chance against Trinidad... Come on, now.

I think that Canelo vs Vargas would have been a better fight with more fireworks. Canelo might drop Tito in the second round in a flash knockdown, only to be stopped in the third by a bodyshot. Boring fight!

Vargas vs Canelo should indeed be the matchup in question. If it's doubtful that Canelo even beats prime Vargas, then why the fuck are we even entertaining this one?

To put things in proper perspective in a Canelo vs Vargas matchup, let's remember than an OLD, and UNDERSIZED Cotto took about 4 rounds off Canelo and was never in serious danger of getting stopped.

Vargas' skill and activity level, combined with his physical strength, would be too much for that spurt fighter.

So you know my mind and intentions better than me? lol

You've always been an audacious fella.

I'll refrain from any topic that involves a Floyd opponent in future.
