The Invincibility WASNT Gone In Roy’s Mind Though...

He Walked Into That RE Very Confident...To Roy, Tarver COULDNT Even Beat Him On His Worst Night, Which Only BOLSTERED His Ego Upon Facing Him Again...

Roy Had the SAME Swag, Put Forth a ROY JONES Round, and the Rest is History...

Make No Mistake, Roy WAS NOT Broken at the Beginning of the RE, yet By the Time it was Over, the Pieces Could NEVER Be Put Back Together Again...

Compare and Contrast Roy’s Body Language and the Way He Fought In Tarver 2 and 3...Roy was PETRIFIED in the 3rd Fight...Why? Because he was a Broken Man...

That Wasn’t the Case In Tarver 2 Though...

Yeah. Fair point. Although he got hit a lot in first fight with Griffin too.

    Tarver ended Jones.

  5. No Doubt. Suicide to drop 20lbs of muscle in your late 30s.

He should have retired after Ruiz. Greed kills a career. The Ruiz fight was the perfect fight to retire on. Had he done that he would be up there with Robinson all now.

Yeah exactly. He looked like sh*t against Tarver. Well actually he just looked like your typical really good boxer, but it was coming off a fight where he looked like superman basically. Roy was done well before Tarver put him to sleep.

Yeah I remember watching the fight with a buddy of mine and we both were saying he looked like he had the flu

When he came out looking the same in the rematch, I figured he was done being "Roy" but I was still surprised to see him knocked cold

  9. I thought Roy actually looked much better in the rematch before the KO. In the first fight he looked like he had just run a marathon before the fight.

Tarver always would have given troubles to RJ. I was a huge RJ fan at the time, and I didn't wanted him to face Tarver

He would've gone into a shell just like the rest of them ... he had a shell of a man in front of him the first time and couldn't even win

    He's 2-1 against a dead man

    Nah, I can't see it.

Any version of Jones from 94-00 would have whitewashed Tarver.

    Sloppy Joe too.
