Mikey is the only fighter that has a shot imo. Unless Crawford can still make 140.

Mikey Garcia could very well be Juan Manuel Marquez to Lomachenko's Pacquiao.

Pacquiao also looked far more spectacular than JMM, especially as he moved up in weight, but Marquez' solid fundamentals gave him hell every time out.

That's not a bad comparison, but the difference is Pac ALWAYS had defensive holes... holes that Loma doesn't have.

Pac's offense was always his defense. I think people often confuse his fast hands and feet with good defense that he's never had. Manny was always open for counters when he unleashed punches.

Loma doesn't have Manny's fire power or pure raw speed but I agree with X that he doesn't appear to have the defensive lapses that Pac always did.

Lomachenko is definitely more defensively responsible than Pacquiao.

I agree that Lomachenko is more defensively sound than Pacquiao...but Pacquiao is more offensively formidable than lomachenko when you combine is handspeed, workrste and power

Say Pacquiao really fights Chenko at 140, what happens?

in his prime, Pac wins this, but now, he's probably too old and tame

Yeah he is pretty tame and tepid compared to the beast mode Tazmanian devil that was prime Pacquiao.

Probably depends if he can hurt Lomachenko, which surely he can if he lands flush. Otherwise Chenko probably outpoints him.

I think right now Lomachenko would win a competitive but clear decision. Manny just goes through the motions these days.

If Manny can turn back the clock for just one fight, he'll beat Lomachenko. Lomachenko likes to step around to his right and to his opponent's left so he can put them out of position. Near impossible to do that against a Southpaw. I saw brief glimpses of Rigo, giving him some problems because of that. Manny is bigger than Rigo and throws far more punches...so if Manny can turn back the clock even a little, this is no gimme for Lomachenko.

Regardless if you think Pacquiao can win, it is a intriguing matchup. Against Chenko, Pacquiao will not have a size or strength deficit to deal with.

At this point, Matthysse is no gimme for Pac. Styles wise, it's a good fight for Manny, but Matthysse can crack. Prime Manny lights him up.

That said, I'd take Loma to beat Pac right now. I doubt Manny can make 135 but even at 140, Loma at this point has the youth and speed to really make Manny look old.

yeah, Mathysse looked like hot garbage in his last fight. Even this old Pac should whoop him without breaking a sweat.
