Better movie? I'd say Terminator by a good margin.

Love 'em both...and can re-watch both of them over and over. I prefer the sequels though.....

The Terminator...even though Linda Hamilton is ANNOYING....n she always looked like her snatch would be stinky....don't matter what she's in..

    Alien was just gross really

    Terminator was fun

  9. One scene was gross - the chestburster scene with John Hurt.
I´d hardly call it a gross movie.

Xplosive must be talking about Aliens being as that and The Terminator were both directed by James Cameron and came out within 2 years of each other.

If Sarah Conner had been anything like Panchy, then I bet Reece says "fuck the future" and heads to TECHNOIR and blows his friggin head off before the Terminator can even get there

    I know my movies.

I wasn't talking about the Cameron sequel.

I was talking about the Ridley Scott original.

  14. Dude, seriously?

That's like...putting a James Bond movie up against a Hitchcock classic...

    GTFOH!

T1 is easily one of the best sci-fi movies ever made.

What in the Hell makes Alien that much better?

  18. Oh only acting, characterization, cinematography, sound, visuals, direction, production...

  19. ILLUMINATI

    ILLUMINATI Roberto Duran

    I think that’s Spaceballs.

    they're kinda different. one's more like a sci-fi dystopian movie; one's more like a sci-fi horror movie

& in keeping with that, you'd have to go with Terminator in terms of cultural impact. the Chinese gov't just announced a new eye-scanning surveillance system which has the English name "Sky-Net", and Twitter went bonkers over it

    "Alien" for me.

Despite the late 70's computer technology featured on the ship, it's really aged well over the years. I used to rank "Aliens" ahead of it, but have since changed my mind after multiple recent viewings, and I now have "Alien" back in front by quite a bit.

A bit of it might have to do with the fact that "Alien" didn't rely on as much FX and more on character development then "Aliens", and the quality of the footage is just better. Every time I see "Alien" is looks like they've remastered and cleaned it up, and "Aliens" always seems to be showing it's cracks with some shitty degraded copy that never gets updated.

"T1" and "T2" are both solid, but Camerons stuff in general, has lost a lot of sparkle through the years.

  23. Because of this, Alien is almost impossible to date - it doesnt contain much that you would look and say ´yeah, they could´ve done that better´
    It just looks amazing.

The Terminator, by comparison, has tons of stuff that looks shoddy and out-dated...and they´ve changed so much of it for future versions to try and spruce it up a bit.

Oh yeah and the acting in The Terminator?
    Dogshit.
