What now for AJ and Parker?

Will AJ fight Plodvodkin before a Wilder fight? Does he want to tangle with Fury and potentially lose? Or go straight to Wilder for a huge money earner.

And what about Parker, beaten but young and with more to offer the division? I reckon a local beating of Lucas "Fat and Juicy" Browne followed by some higher rated palooka, head back up the rankings and try for a strap later.

AJ-Povetkin next, then go for Wilder. The fans are demanding he and Wilder get it on later this year or early 2019, so no point in dragging this out. That has to happen sooner rather than later.

For Parker, he needs to get back in the mix right away. I don't think the Whyte fight is a realistic option right now as Whyte wants Wilder/Povetkin/Joshua, but coming back to the UK is the best move for him. Parker-Chisora could be the ideal matchup to make next.

  3. Parker should fight Ortiz and or the winner of Haye vs Bellew.

AJ vs Fury would be almost as big as AJ vs Wilder IMO so either fight is good. AJ vs Povetkin is a good fight but too much risk too little reward IMO...to do before a Wilder fight

Fury is irrelevant right now. A Joshua-Fury fight is a loooooong way off.

I’m not a big believer in AJ. I think he’s the second coming of Wlad Klitchko.

Fury is not an active fighter. Who knows if he ever will be.

Parker vs the Bellew-Haye winner I can see happening.

all these guys are bums but i do think joshua furry is as big, if not a bigger fight than joshua wilder. financially speaking.

I'm over taking about the heavyweights UNTIL Joshua-Wilder is signed. AJ and Wilder are both shit compared to the elite of the sport.

Joshua-Fury is definitely a much bigger fight than Joshua-Wilder. Certanly in the UK. It just gets to me why Fury's name is being mentioned when the guy has been inactive since November 2015 and he hasn't even got a comeback fight lined up. He might not even fight this year.

The buzz will start to generate if Fury starts fighting again and looks the goods ln doing so, but there's a real possibility that he looks like shit and is not what he was over two years ago.

Christ, these constant comparisons to former heavyweight greats whenever a modern heavyweight has a fight are getting really tedious. Nobody was putting Lewis in the pantheon of heavyweight legends when he got stopped by McCall, struggled with Mavrovic or got rocked by Briggs. Evaluate them when their careers are done.

Fury is the only likeable one of the three.

  13. THANK YOU!

Plus people conveniently forget this now but Lewis was a BORING fighter for the most part. His fights with Holyfield were tedious. His fight with Bruno was unwatchable until the dramatic finish. His fight with Tucker sent me to sleep. Same with Tua. Ever now and then Lennox would score a spectacular KO and that's all people seem to remember now...but most of the time is was pawing with the jab and playing it safe. Joshua is actually a more exciting fighter than Lewis was.

Fury is hilarious, it must be said.

Did you see his video response to the AJ-Parker fight? He really does have legit comedic talent.

For the 1st Time in his Career, Joshua Isn’t Trending UPWARDS, He’s Sort’ve Stayed Where He was Pre-Parker...Whereas Parker’s on the Upward Trend for the 1st Time in 2-3 Fights...

Joshua’s Clearly the A-Side of ANY Heavyweight Fight, but he Needs to Face Wilder Sooooooooner Rather Than Later...

REED Thinks Parker’s Established Himself as a Solid Gatekeeper to Joshua and/or Wilder...In Fact, REED Would Loooooooooove to See Wilder/Parker Next, ASSuming Joshua-Wilder’s Not a Viable Option...

I think Wilder would stop Parker.

There's a clear styles departure between Wilder and Joshua.

Parker on the other hand is just a competent ploddish sort without major league power and no real variety.

For a New Zealander, he's refreshingly shifty and hard to hit and that will keep him on the right side of the big fights for a while yet.

Ironically I don't even care if that fight gets made. Heavyweight division sucks and it has since the early 00's.

Parker probably fades into pallokaville, where he belongs. I expect AJ to rematch Whyte

I don't give Parker much chance at all against Wilder.

I insist that the both of these guys are extremely vulnerable. Either one is vulnerable to suffer a KO loss against anyone. The longer it takes to make this fight, the more likely one of them gets KO'd.

Make that fight next while they are both undefeated champions.

  24. Neither guy is that vulnerable, you’re exaggerating. They be vulnerable if they were facing Lennox Lewis or Mike Tyson but there’s no one like that right now and theres no one else outside of each other that poses much of a KO threat to the other.

  25. Jimmy

Jimmy The Greatest of Are Times

Both AJ and Wilder have proven that they can come back strong after being badly hurt. They're not that vulnerable.

  26. If Joshua could survive the onslaught of a rejuvenated Wladimir Klitschko who just nailed him with a flush right hand sending him to the canvas....there’s no one other than Wilder that has a chance to stop him. And for wilder, perhaps a little more vulnerable than Joshua but still he proved his mettle against Ortiz. Dillion whyte has an outside chance of stopping wilder I suppose but no one else that I can see

  27. By the way, I’d love to see whyte vs Fury. The prefight banter alone would be worth the price of admission. I think whyte stands a good chance of knocking out that annoying gypsy

Sorry, tell this to the chaps picking these bums to steamroll Joe Frazier

  29. It’s a matter of physics. Joe Frazier would be physically incapable, because of his style and chin, of beating Anthony Joshua. I don’t think you quite fathom the size difference....it’ll be worse than drago vs rocky (lol). Joshua isn’t some hapless giant like carnera, Willard or Buddy Baer....Joshua is powerful, throws punches in bunches and is strong. He’d bully Frazier around the ring like a rag doll. You need to quit with the “good olde times” bullshit for one second and come to your senses! Want my to break that guitar over your head?

I like how Carnera and Baer who were retired by the time Frazier was about 5 years old and Willard who died the year Frazier won the title are brought into the conversation as if it had anything to do with him
