    Not gonna lie... my rationale in picking Hurd is partially based on the HORRIBLE recent luck of Cubans. It's like they cursed this year.

    The sound and safe pick remains Lara.

    I don't think comparing Hurd to Margarito is accurate. He damn sure ain't Wilfred Benitez as a boxer, but watch the Frank Galarazza fight. He can box.

    But he CANNOT outbox Lara, and he knows it. It's GOOD that he knows it, cause if he loses, at least he loses utilizing the correct strategy.

    One thing I will say.. I HOPE he tightened up from the Trout fight... cause he WON'T win getting hit that much by Lara.

    Both fighters looked in top-shape at the weigh-in. And damn, Hurd might be the biggest junior middle we've ever seen. Wonder how much longer he can go before he has to move up 160.

    Hello all... Lara is the stylistic and logical favorite. But Hurds a big guy with big balls and Lara tends to shut down with a real threat in front of him. I’ll take Hurd in an upset by controversial decision or late stoppage. His defense is so leaky and he gets hit so clean his chin will need to carry him against Lara’s left counters.
