True Romance vs Jackie Brown

TR is basically a Tarantino movie, considering he wrote the whole thing.

If Tarantino directed it, it would have looked much different.

Tarantino can be a great writer of dialogue, which as far as I know, Tony Scott was not.............but Tony Scott was a much more interesting "Director" to me, even though he does have plenty of stinkers under his belt to.

 

I think it's very close, but i think JB is a slightly better film... by a hair...I love both though.

LOL, I'd love to see Tarantino direct a film starring Cristiano Ronaldo and Joe Calzaghe, with a soundtrack by Phil Collins, just to see your reaction to it

 

Oh and TR takes it for me, but it's close. Both excellent films.

 

Tarantino should have directed the Vinny Paz movie, Bleed for This.

Yeah, Tarantino planned on a different ending for the movie, and would have slowed down the movie with shots of Patricia Arquette’s feet.

I haven't even seen Jackie Brown but I know enough about movies and especially movie-trailers to know it's shit.

 

True Romance easy. "Jackie Brown' moves at snail pace and that is not good for a 3 hours movie.

 

I liked True Romance a lot the first time I saw it but it lags on rewatching. Other than the eggplant scene JB has much better dialogue and more memorable scenes and conversations.

 

Come on now, it's universally known as the "Sicillians...were spawned by niggers" scene, which is what stops an exasperated Walken in his tracks.
