Obviously, the UK has a historical lock-down on best pop/rock artists/bands in the world of the last 60 years, but what about the USA??

    Let´s hear it.

Sorry, even if you desperately restrict the category to a very strict interpretation (like "rock bands with a group name") it wouldn't be true

Once you open the door to all genres of music it is a fucking landslide in favor of my country

If it's just rock and roll we probably win

Once we add jazz music, R&B, country, bluegrass, fucking forget it. It's an embarrassing mismatch

So I'll just say the word Jazz in place of the 500 names I could throw out there and you can counter with what exactly? Some third rate dancehall whites-only imitation from 1950? George Shearing? Soft Machine?

    Lol, good luck cunt

    LOL negative

Especially your continued insistence that A) The Who ever came within 100 miles of producing anything near the first two and B) they were somehow superior to Led Zeppelin, which is utterly laughable

Led Zeppelin: classic example of dumb Americans totally falling for obvious Cock Rock.

So, with that over and done with.....AMERICAN BANDS.

On Married With Children, Ted Bundy went to his high school reunion and the band playing there was called "The Why?" which always kills me

The Who - perfect example of a true sign of a truly great band when said band ardently defies categorisation.
They are so far ahead of whatever Zeppelin did or were doing, its not funny.

No, because those artists are ´proto-rock´ - Jerry Lewis, Bill Haley, Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, etc

I'm a noted hater and yet I don't even have to delve into hugely popular artists I don't even like such as The Eagles or Springsteen or Pearl Jam to easily overwhelm this category

Once you get beyond Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin and (lol) The Who ... shit goes downhill quick for England

How long before you pull the atrocious Deep Purple out of your ass? Or Black Sabbath ("a great joke", Keith wisely called them)

The Kinks were great up to about 1972 before Ray Davies ate himself
