I've long said, Sly is a sensitive chap and he let's too much of this message board stuff to get him.

 

Plus blocking is arguably more annoying because context gets totally fucked up in busy threads ... I tried to shut off Panchy's posts a while back but the cunt posts so much that half the threads I looked at didn't make any sense

 

On the plus side though you can say all kinds of rancid shit about sly and he'll be oblivious

 

Why would I do anything like that? I thought Sly and I had a pretty STABLE relationship... but whatever, let's get back on TRACK.... no pointing in beating a dead...

I did enjoyed this film back in the day. And it is indeed Australian, but produced by an American studio. Mad Max director George Miller directed it.

BTW i thought that when you wrote 'Babe appreciation thread' you were referring to Babes like Ashley Ortiz.

I'll bite, "Babe" is a solid movie.

George Miller actually directed the sequel "Babe - Pig In the City", which for a G rated flick, is a bit of a mental movie.

 

I stand corrected. Miller wrote and produced the first one and directed the sequel, which I utterly despised (like you said too darn dark and grim for a children's film). Miller is a great director; he can do great action films (like the Mad Max franchise, comedy (like the Witches of Eastwick), children movies (Happy Feet, Babe), dramas (Lorenzo's Oil), etc. I always lamented that his 'Justice League: Mortal" film was shelved by WB when all cast members were already hired and the film was about to start filming for a 2009 release date. I think he could have delivered a better film than what Snyder & Whedon gave us.
