I've heard many people say that Norton won all three fights in their opinions and most say that Norton won at least two of the three (1st and 3rd usually) but I re-watched all three fights recently and Ali definitely won the 2nd and 3rd.

    Thoughts?

It's been ages since I scored them but I had the winners as

    Norton
    Ali
    Norton

They were all very close, though... Norton drove Ali nuts with his style and that great counter jab he constantly stuck in his face ... plus, he seemed genuinely amused by Ali's psychological ploys where they either intimidated or clearly got under the skin and into the heads of others (Foreman) ... Frazier fed off them, his rage driving him further

Didn't the 3rd fight occur during a police strike or blackout in NYC or something?

Not a blackout (that was July of 1977) but yes there was an NYPD strike and very limited security in what was at the time one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the country ... as a result, the atmosphere was extremely hairy ... loads of crazies menacing people
