Incorrect ... every word of it is spot on

  2. Fact: neither Plant nor Page could hold a fuckin candle to Gillan & Blackmore in the vocal/guitar stakes.
    No.
    Way.

Even Edward Van Halen remarked on Page years later: "good musician and composer but he plays as sloppy as a 10-year old kid with a broken wrist"

    Haw. HAW.

    Good musician/COMPOSER

    Key word... composer

    That's KINDA important

And since when is EVH a good source for anything

    Talk about cock-rock

Blackmore's claim to fame was proto-shredding which is now being bettered by 10 year olds with too much time on their hands on YouTube, soulless unimaginative garbage ... I'm still waiting on the 10 year old capable of composing The Rain Song

Ian Gillan was a tuneless shouter who alternated between screeching in falsetto (laughably in concert, worse than Plant who usually had the sense to know when his voice wasn't up to the task) and a grating nasally snarl in his chest voice while his band plodded along oblivious and with zero dynamics... Deep Purple was utterly bereft of groove, they make Black Sabbath seem like The Meters ... their songs were fourth-rate garbage... their pretentions cartoonishly bombastic (see Jon Lord's abominable Concerto - he and fellow wannabe Blackmore trade solos in front of an orchestra neither of them was qualified to get a job washing the toilets of much less playing in) ... utterly pathetic ... If Black Sabbath were just as fucking stupid except they were good players but even shittier songwriters, they'd be Deep Purple

Space Truckin'? More like Face Fuckin' AMIRITE?!?!?!

  4. Almost fell off my chair laughing at that...

  5. Jimmy could never pull this off:

    The awesome tone....spontaneous playing!
    Page is dosghit in comparison.

No one with any taste should want to pull that off... fucking garbage blooze

He's been mistreated? He's not the only one, there's also the poor listener

  8. POP MUSIC, you cunt: the genre you hate.

The only thing I'd like to see that colossal bellend discussing is his upcoming funeral

The cunt never wrote a single good song and he played one guitar solo I remember after 5 minutes

  10. Blackmore: ¨so, Bonzo, what do you listen to? Must be jazz, right?¨
    Bonham: ¨Nope. Pop Music. Abba.¨

cdogg: ¨What? No. Wait. Nooooo. It can´t be pop! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!¨

A Fightbeat cunt, crushed by legends (and me)

Richie Blackmore? More like Bitchy Crackwhore... AMIRITE??

  13. Interesting guy, Blackmore. Never pulled punches in his opinions.
old interview from the early 70s:

´Back at the hotel Blackmore says how it`s all such a challenge and so much harder to play loud and keep it tapped down.
How much control have you got when you`re in one of your clobbering moods. Are you really in full control? Aren`t the crowd leading you down?

“No. But every now and then you have to make some sort of compromise. You name a musician that doesn`t.”
Hendrix never did. When the people howled for ´Purple Haze´, he gave them ´Electric Ladyland´.
    “Did you know Hendrix?”
No. I didn`t know Hendrix. Who says you have to know Hendrix?
“I did know Hendrix, and even Hendrix played crap towards the end. After `Electric Ladyland` it just got worse and worse. `Band of Gypsies` was nowhere. Face it.”
Of course it was. But that was Hendrix falling apart. It had nothing to do with the man compromising for an audience.´

Band Of Gypsies gets reverred now.

I never much cared for it... the rhythm section was great but I find all those endless psychedelic freakout solos fucking boring by now. I would never deny the man's influence or genius but I don't even listen to him anymore... his music has utterly saturated the market to the point of being a cliche

I almost subconsciously make an effort to avoid playing anything on the guitar that might even sound like him

Person who sees clogg playing around with a guitar at a party : Do you know "Voodoo Chile"?????

Clogg: Yes but I'll only play it if you kill your entire family and then turn the gun on yourself
