Tony Bellew beats David Haye: Bellew eyes Tyson Fury and Andre Ward

Tony Bellew set his sights on fighting Tyson Fury and Andre Ward after his stunning fifth-round stoppage of David Haye.

Bellew, 35, delivered three knockdowns on his way to a second heavyweight win in 14 months over his rival and fellow Briton at London's O2 Arena.

He said he would meet British former world champion Fury at heavyweight but only if the bout happened soon.

Bellew said American Ward "wants the fight" despite being retired.

"Ward thinks he can beat me easily," said Bellew. "I will knock him out."

Former two-weight world champion Haye, 37, did not attend the news conference after the fight.

  3. Ward is retired and should stay retired.

Bellew vs Fury would have EXCELLENT pre fight smack talk! The fight itself would be a bore though.

I don't think Ward should take this fight.

Ward is not a very big guy... what weight would they fight at?

160, Ward takes 90-10 money, USA USA USA!

Ward would win a shitty UD for Bellend's CW belt unless he vacated it.

Bellend should really try to get a fight with his best mate Joshua for 12 million pounds then get UD'd for two million pounds by a much smaller Danny "Stuntman" Wheeler

Ward won't beat Bellew at 200lbs

  9. Ward has nothing left to prove. Taking on Bellew at 200lbs would be perhaps the worst management decision in history.

Did a heavyweight just call out a retired super middleweight? How pathetic can you get?

No, he's a lightheavyweight, JOM says so.

But he is a lightheavyweight and Wards last two fights were at lightheavyweight

Ward doesn't gain much by beating Bellew, but there are light heavies who would likely add to his all time status. Stevenson and then there are like 4 undefeated guys who are all tough.

Right now, Ward needs his victims to get through that wrecking crew in order to enhance his legacy. They won't. I wouldn't mind if Kovalev did, but he won't.

    Nonsense fight.

  17. I want to see Bellew vs Fury. It's more the pre-fight shenanigans that I'm interested in to be honest rather than the actual fight but I would love for that fight to be made. It's a win win for me...one of these two cunts will lose and probably have their careers finished.

Not interested in either tbh. The only furry fight I'm interested in is (hopefully) seeing AJ permanently incapacitate his flabby mass

Haye got a belt in a division 40lbs higher from where he started,..essentially making him a 6 weight champ,.... fuck that's a sexy name on a resume. Joshua MUST.

  24. Call me crazy but I think Bellew is capable of surprising Fury. I'm not sold on Fury's ability to take a punch...and Bellew is a little tricky and slippery himself. Sure, Fury would be a solid favourite (primarily because of the size difference), but I don't see it as a foregone conclusion or a mismatch.
