He's not even a poor man's Wade. In fact, they couldn't be more different.

Wade had a sick handle, for one. DeRozan has terrible handles for a guard. Wade was a great defender, for two. DeRozan's one of the worst defenders in league history, I am NOT exaggerating about that. And three, Wade was a superb passer/playmaker.... DeRozan's below average at both.

"Like I said before", he's more of a Jerry Stackhouse than a Kobe/Wade.

And yes, Mitchell looks potentially special. Could easily be the best two guard in the league one day.

As far as two guards go, I also think Devin Booker can be special.... if he can stay healthy.

My point is, calling DeRozan a poor man's Wade is like calling AB a poor man's Floyd. There's such a huge gap that there is no comparison.

Levels and Gaps Have NATHAN to Do w/an On the Surface Comparison Bruh. A Comparison DOESNT Have to Be Exact, Down to a T, in Every Single Facet Either.

Kobe Ain’t Jordan, Yet the COMPARISON was There. Andre Ward, Andre Dirrell and Even Derrick Gainer Had Similarities to Roy. Like it or Not, Broner DOES Have Similarities to. Floyd. Do You HONESTLY Wonder Why People Compare Broner to Floyd (Justified or Not)?

There’s an Obvious, On the Surface Similarity There, Even if Broner Perpetuates It. You Make it Seem Like the Shit Just Appeared Out of Thin Air.

Offensively, DeMar DeRozan’s Game is SOMEWHAT Reminescent of DWade’s. REED Could Say That About a Middle School Bench Warmer Also, Yet it WOULDNT Diminish the Surface Similarity.

Kobe/Jordan is a bad analogy here, because Kobe actually WAS in fact a poor man's Jordan. There playing styles were the same, thanks to Bryant patterning his entire game and even playing mannerisms after Mike. Kobe was a GREAT player, but simply inferior to Mike in most areas... Kobe DID have better handles than Jordan though, and a deeper range, but other than that, Mike was better at just about everything else that mattered.

I don't really see much of Wade's game in DeRozan is what I'm getting at. Because they're both slashers who prefer the now "old school" midrange J is not enough to consider them similar.

In fact, it might be more accurate to call Westbrick a poor man's Wade than DeRozan.

    Bruh,

WHEN and WHERE Were You Anointed 1st and Final Word On Comparisons?

You Persist in Straight Up BELABORING a Quasi-Comparison REED Made. ASTUTE Hoop Fans Can @ Least FATHOM Surface Similarities.

REED Doubts He’s the 1st to See Such in Wade-DeRozan. But By All Means Keep Being Stevie Wonder to the Shit.

Wade and Russ have more in common than Wade and DeRozan. But still, prime Wade was a lot better than Russ.

But ANYWAY... let's move on, it is kinda a pointless debate and I guess I started it.

I think the Dubs will take the Rockets in 6, and the Cavs will take the Celtics in 6.

Setting up, for the 57th straight year.... a Warriors-Cavs finals.... how exicting.... *insert sarcasm*

    Insert Clever Metaphor Here

I always find it weird when a perennially shitty franchise fires the one coach who brings you back to some semblance of respectability, like there's a Greg Popovich or Brad Stevens out there just waiting to sign up to coach in Toronto.

Worked out with Golden State, but that situation is few and far between.

As I imagine has already been mentioned in this thread, Toronto is lead by two guys who perennially choke in the spotlight. With the roster they have and have had, I lean toward the idea they have grossly over-achieved under Casey. Their roster does not have a Golden State aura about them, just waiting for the right coach to come around to blow it up to the next level. Maybe with a clutch type superstar added to their team or some young guy coming out of nowhere, but not as they are right now.

I expect Bron to go for over for 40 in game 2, but will it be enough? If Cleveland goes down 0-2 it's over.

After james the celtics have the next 4 best players on the court

    Love is a chump

Much rather see the young celtics get experience vs golden state than see cleveland get swept

Tonight's game 1 will tell us A LOT. The Rockets MUST win game 1 if they're to stand a chance. If GS wins tonight, I think the series is already over.

This series is over already. I just said that the Rockets had to win game 1 in order to have a chance. Dubs look far too much for them. If Houston can win game 2, they might last 5-6. But if GS goes up 2-0, it's time to break out the broom.

    agREED.

Houston NEEDED To Win Game 1. If they Lose Game 2 There’s LITERALLY NOfuckingREASON to Book Flights to the Bay Area.

They Look CONFUSED and Overmatched Last Night, Particularly In the 3rd Quarter.

    And Steph was QUIET!

The rockets entire offensive strategy was to get curry switched onto harden, or sometimes looney

It was funny watching houston flounder when neither player was in the game for golden state during a stretch in the second half

Basically the only chance houston has is to go at durant hard early on and hope to get him in foul trouble

    That’s a POINTLESS Finals.

At Least Cleveland Brings Star Power and Bron Will Get His 30+ the 4-5 Games it Lasts.

GS-Boston Would Be LESS Competitive than Spurs-Cavs Years Ago.

Not Only was he Clearly Fatigued Last Night, He’ll Be USELESS by the 2nd Half of Game 3, at This Rate.

    Completely disagree

Celtics have better athletes to matchup defensively. Maybe they get swept but I'd rather see something different

We already know cleveland stands no fucking chance
