All good examples but whilst he would get absolutely fucked up, Macklin basically built his whole career around being tough, I think he can make it out of the first. I HATED Hatton, and whilst Tito takes him out in style, I think Hatton gets out of the first as well. Far lesser fighters than Hatton went a few rounds with Trinidad, and Tito was quite a slow starter.
I doubt that. I think Roy would have been fast and elusive enough to last a few rounds. But Lummox would have caught him before the mid rounds, and it would have been a violent KO.
Napoles would destroy Ali in a one sided fight, but I feel like Ali would last a few, painful rounds. Napoles was a surgeon, but not a devastating hitter at 147. Still, Ali gets slaughtered inside of 5. I feel like Ali MIGHT last until 2 against Tito, only cause Tito always used the first round as a feel out. But Trinidad almost certainly violently KO's him in round 2. Jackson and Hearns... yes. Those two blow away Ali inside of 1 round. I'd take Leonard to stop Ali inside of 1 round as well... Andy Price style.
If trinidad can floor vargas twice in round one, he could've certainly ended Ali. At 154 and above, trinidad was less patient.
Hence why I said "might". A Tito KO 1 is certainly a high possibility. We can go on all day about guys who would have stopped Ali in 1-2 rounds.... we can add prime Curry to the list.
