Assuming if he has a chin, he will be on the short list of championship fighters from the San Francisco Bay Area

Definitely looks promising. Also seems like he's all business, unlike Ryan Garcia.

He looked like Sugar Ray Leonard last night.

Haney at 19 is proof that boxing will ALWAYS ALWAYS replenish itself with young talent.

He is fucking ballsy that’s for sure, turned pro at 17 and fought exclusively in Tijuana instead of waiting a bit and getting licensed in America.

Not many 17 year old prospects would do that, they’d rather wait and get a more comfortable ride and hometown treatment. That alone makes me like him.

I didn't watch the whole thing, but Haney looked to be handling Shakur easily.

Shakur doesn't have the ability to back up his big mouth.

Haney looked to me to be controlling the pace and walking Shakur down. I'll rewatch when I get to work.

I doubt it ever happens in the pros anyway. Haney is the much bigger man. Stevenson is a TINY dude. Might be a career feather.

Haney is much better than that goofy little scrub "Shakur".

I've seen that footage before btw, Haney looked to get the better of it to me.

    I wouldn't doubt that, Neil.

Floyd's daughter looks like a fast ass young hoe, and Tank looks like he'd take it without hesitation.

    Speaking of young daughters....

Ray Leonard's daughter is sexy as all fuck and I believe she's legal...

Now let me go bump my R.Kelly and feel guilty for saying that.

Gervonta’s Social Media Persona In NO Way Matches What We See in Interviews.

Seems Like a Chill, Laid Back, LIKABLE Sort, Yet He’s Confrontational w/Just About EVERYBODY via Social Media.

Almost as if Someone Else Handles His Posts

No one handles his account. It's really him. Just because he says "Yes sir, no sir" in interviews doesn't mean he's not also a young, edgy, Bmore hood n*gga.

That's also where the DISconnect lies when it comes to Davis/AB and Floyd... AB and Davis are true hood cats from the gutter. Floyd ain't grow up in no hood in an environment comparable to Cinci and Bmore... he's a middle class kid.

Broner and Davis view a lot of the shit Floyd pulls as snake shit, because there's a certain street code which Floyd has never been about.

Interesting, I didn't have Haney pegged as the smack talking type.

Other boxers just can't help themselves when it comes to little Gervonta. I like the little "slow talking nigga", I wish they'd just leave him alone tbh :D

What has Floyd done that is snake like? If anything Broner seems to be the snake, talking shit about Floyd after initially worshipping him etc.

I only just saw this fight and I wasn't that impressed tbh. LOL at the Sugar Ray Leonard comparison.

He was more Chris Algieri than Leonard :D

Munguia would thump this little mook :D

he should right he only has him by 20 lbs of weight class and I am guessing he'd be about 50 lbs heavier in the ring

Agreed, but still, I would pick Munguia if they were the same size.

Also, he would not be 50 pounds heavier, in fact Devin Haney would have to lose 15 pounds between the weight in and the fight for that to be the case, hahaha. He'd be about 20 pounds heavier.

Yeah you can tell a lot from seeing a guy just once, if you know boxing and know what you're watching, which I guess is the case for most people on FB.

When I first saw Juanma and Broner for example, I was like "wtf is all the fuss about?". And that turned out to be the correct reaction.

Conversely when I first saw Lomachenko back in Beijing I thought holy fuck this guy is the best amateur boxer I've ever seen. Likewise with Golovkin, I realised they were incredible at first sight.

OTOH Spence is a guy who grew on me a bit, he didn't jump out at me, but he is indeed a brilliant fighter.

Haney? I know he is young, but he was not as good as I hoped against a very limited fighter. He didn't show much imo. Just constant lateral movement and jabs. If you have some athleticism, it's not the hardest style to employ, it's actually fairly basic in its own way. He didn't show great power, or accuracy, or punch selection. Just some decent athleticism and speed. Even his jab wasn't even that great, didn't land at a high % and didn't do much damage.

"Mason Menard" almost matched him in powershots, lol.

It's ironic he was calling Tank a bum above, tiny little Gervonta would wreck him.

Shit, I would hope to Hell that Munguia would thump Haney.
