The Peter Quill scene imitating Thor's voice was a riot.

I too don’t like Iron Man and was happy that his role was diminished somewhat. Thanos was THE character of the film, and he was excellent, but after him the two most important characters were Thor and Doctor Strange. That made sense to me as Thor and Strange are the only ones with the skill set to truly be relevant against Thanos.

The top 4 I get, but Dr Strange ahead of infinity war and Black Panther ? Seems strange (no pun intended).

    For me:

    1. Infinity War (although I admit that it requires familiarity with the previous films to be good).
    2. Civil War
    3. Avengers
    3. Guardians (Avengers and Guardians are interchangeable).
    5. Black Panther
    5. Winter Soldier

I can’t separate the last two either

When I was growing up I used to get the UK editions of The Avengers, Spider-Man Comics Weekly and The Mighty World of Marvel...Dr Strange appeared in one or all off these often and I couldn't get into the mystic stories trippy artwork until later to appreciate it.
When I saw the movie I liked how they stayed faithful to those aspects.

Oh and Infinity War I reviewed and have my pros, cons and score.

Black Panther is the only movie I've not seen.
The character and race-overtone has little appeal to me.
Luke Cage would whoop his ass...

The Avengers: Infinity War is now the fastest film to reach $1 billion worldwide in just 11 days. It also scored the second biggest second weekend of all time, besting Marvel's own 'Black Panther' with $112.8 million. Domestically it stands at $450 million or $100 million less than 'The Force Awakens' at this same time frame. Doubtful it can best TFA in its final domestic & worldwide numbers.

Race has only a small part of play in black panther. It’s mostly about vibranium, the throne, international politics and family.

I read somewhere that while Luke cage is bullet proof he’s vulnerable to adamantium. This suggests that he may also be vulnerable to vibranium and Panther has Vibranium claws. Plus panther is bullet proof too (because of his suit) and is faster and more agile than cage and although not as strong...pretty fucking strong himself.

Too much action. Too much CGI action. Too much chaotic action. It felt like watching a hockey game, which I hate. Too much space.Too crammed . It felt too PG13. If it were R rated itd be much better. The deaths felt cartoonish and couldn't take them seriously. Maybe I'm just gettin old but Idk man... But again the biggest downside was too much mindless action... less action would mean more in the end. The whole turning into dust thing was lame as fuck.. that way NOBODY believes it will last... at least they should have just had them gushing blood from their eyes, ears, noses and mouths before just simply "dying " that way at least it would feel they're not coming back... but no let's make it look stupid so the kids don't cry...

    7/10.. closer to 6 than 8.

THIS is why I enjoy 'spoiling movies for people....people who generally are emotionally retarded cunts who fuckin deserve it.
They deserve to be Thanos'd and reduced to dust.

You merely adopted the cunt. Cdogg was born in it, molded by it. He didn't even realize he was being a cunt until he was already a man....

The weren’t dying, they were ceasing to exist. It’s why they went with dust rather than bleeding out.

Avengers: Infinity War took the top spot at the box office for the third straight week in a row with $61.8 million besting the third week prior record of $58 million. It also became the 2nd fastest film to reach $500 million domestically ($547.8 million). It opened in China with a near record of $200 million and climbed its worldwide gross to $1.6 billion, becoming the fifth highest grossing film of all time.

I was talking today to my wife's nephew who is a big Marvel fan, so of course I asked him if he watched already the movie. He admitted he watched it on opening night...Thursday night, at a private screening since he and his friends rented a whole theater screen for themselves, "it was very expensive, but it was worth it!" I know that this young man works at Walmart and his friends are students or work a Game Stop or fast-food restaurants. I really don't want to know how much they paid for this 'privilege'...

I watched it on the Thursday night also, but not at a private viewing.

That film was great. Very well done and lived up to the heavy expectations set but the previous MCU films. Not an easy achievement. It basically did what the first Avengers did in terms of living up to weighty expectations. This film catered to fans of the franchise, and not to "outsiders" and that's what it should have done. You have to first please the people that are loyal to the brand....trying to convert infidels is secondary. That's what "The Last Jedi" failed to do, for example.

finally saw this movie at the weekend. didn't know about any of the reviews or buzz or anything. i thought it was a very very special movie - for the superhero genre, & for pushing the boundaries of that genre into new areas. i thought there was exquisite technical skill in weaving all the different sub=plots & characters together, all with the trademark MCU wit & creative action at its best; & then what made this real art was the emotional power of the theme of loss throughout the movie.

with great movies i'm not really into ranking, but for me this is certainly in the highest echelon of the MCU movies, & of the superhero genre since its start. what is great is that they got millions & millions of people around the world, of all ages & nationalities, to sit through a 2.5 hour movie about love & emotional loss, & to feel those themes

they covered new ground with the villain. the scene where a vanquished villain from a previous movie - the red skull - guides the new villain to a goal that has eluded all his predecessors, & the only way he can succeed is to show his humanity & suffer for it.... - that's shakespeare territory

    Of course.
    Everyone's will be back.
    Marvel is shit now.
Every MCU movie uses a similar plot/structure and the movies are now just a convenient way to set-up the next movie.

    Wash.
    Rinse.
    Repeat.

I mean there is spiderman movie in the works, black panther movie in the works, Dr Strange 2, black widow movie, etc. Of course they were coming back. The whole thing happened because Thanos rolled back time. The next avengers movie supposedly takes place 4-6 years down the line in the movie.

Especially when they're sat in front of one, transfixed, dead-eyed, mouth open and drooling by the motion and drone of the revolving drum...
