Fury assuming he doesn't show up Tua fat takes on the Klitschko of either the Lewis fight or the retirement fight version against Charr.

Fury's movement would cause difficulties for most heavyweights but Vitali usually dealt pretty well with movers so I'd pick him.

    Waiting for an enraged lol-attack

Vitali was the daddy. He;'d walk Fury down and probably win via DQ.

Like Wlad was supposed to do?

    God is Vitaly overrated.

vitaly looked terrible whenever someone gave him angles. He'd probably quit Byrd style against fury

Uppercuts hurt more than angles and that didn't discourage him vs Lewis, who was almost as rangy as Fury.

I can't see Vitali lose to somebody that can't hurt him, and Fury cannot hurt him.

Vitali would look awkward but he would chug away, throwing his own selection of weirdo shots, and make Fury blow and quit.

Prime Vitali would have beaten the fuck outta Fury. Anybody claiming otherwise is simply not being objective.

Yet, you said the same for Wlad, and we all saw what happened. Hard to take any prediction you make on Fury seriously after that

Wlad was himself a lesser fighter than Vitali and diminished by 2015, at that.

As it happens, I saw a lot more in the challenge posed by Fury than a lot of others here.

I'm not sure Wlad was a lesser fighter (as in boxer) than vitaly. Sure he had more glaring vulnerabilities, but his strenghts were also a lot more overwhelming

Even that version of Lewis would have sent Fury to the morgue.

This Fury madness has to stop. I LIKE the guy as a person, he seems cool as shit to be around... but he's not a quality fighter.

Fury has strong points, he's brave, he's a natural fighter, he's very big and has good tools and brilliant natural movement for such a big man.

But he's not beating Vitali because he's against a guy who is nearly is as big and who has a better chin and is just as unpredictable with his punches.

Vitali wins but is given some trouble along the way. Fury can fight and has a good ring IQ.

    Vitali ain´t shit.
Only beats guys who come at him.

Fury would gradually befuddle the Ukrobot and eek-out a narrow points decision.

In fact, in his prime he defeated the mover-types such as Donald and Johnson as easily, even though he doesn't look like he should

Exactly. The point of 'since you erroneously picked this fighter over him, you can't pick him to lose to a completely different fighter' is rather interesting

The point is that when someone always claims that said fighter will get destroyed, but that he always win the fights in question, it's hard to take future predictions too seriously. Can't say that I'm surprised that something so simple went straight over your head

I'll give you the donald fight, but considering the deplorable condition in which Johnson came into the fight, you can't glean much from that fight

As for a serious answer concerning this match up. It's as hard fight to pick, and there's a big unknown in it. The will of Fury to go through fire to win a fight. It's pretty much a given that Fury will win the early rounds, but unlike his cowardly brother, Vitali won't meekly accept defeat. He'll press the action, and combined with his underrated handspeed and akwardess, he'll tag fury. If Fury has heart (which I think he has) he'll alternate between moving and standing his ground nd wins a clear dec. If he doesn't, he'll run his way to a lost

    Vitali.

He’s just better. If you don’t have the power to hurt him, your not stopping him from coming forward. Fury can’t do it.

IMO Fury is living through the same stage that Vitaly had to. He is much better than he seems but it takes time (and proof) before people recognize it. He has great movement, ability to adapt, long jab and physical strength to make it very difficult for Vitali

No way is someone who punches themself in the face and who was nearly stopped by Cunningham, beating the alpha Klit.

Guys like JC Gomez tried that shit and while it makes Vitali look bad it doesn't work.

Besides, the 1999 version of Vitali is just way faster, way happier coming forward. He'd beat Fury no matter what.

Larry Donald, a guy with a good chin and a tonne of smarts, was hunted down by Vitali and stopped without any question of doubt.

Herbie Hide, another guy that knew his way around, was chased down and stopped.

I don't say Hide or Donald are better than Fury but the premise that the best version of Vitali doesn't know how to walk guys down is absurd.

Fury is a disappointment. He couldn't handle the attention and he basically got run out of boxing. Typically knew his way around a ring and could do nothing outside it.

His skills are not just underestimated per se, rather he has skills that aren't really feted by casual fans and aficionados alike.

Nobody gives a shit about guys with good fight management who know how to slow a fight down, stay out of trouble, and husband their shots very well in a smooth economical fashion.

It's ironic. When Fury dropped his hands, let guys hit him, got dropped and came back to win by KO, everyone said he couldn't fight.

If Haye had fought Fury when he was supposed to, he would have gotten smashed to fucking pieces. People would have paid attention because he'd have brutalized Haye and he'd have done it 5 years sooner than Bellew.

People want button-mashing, brute power, afffletizim, pre-fight Angst and shennanigans.

Irish for once is correct in his Klit worship.

The younger Vitali was quicker and more explosive than the old man many now seem to remember.

Fury can't hurt nor deter Vitali. Period. That's what it comes down to. Vitali walks through him, with a lot less fuck to give than old Wald had. Vitali was just a lot meaner than his pussy little brother.

I always felt I was fair in my appraisals of them.

The Wlad that twice KO'd Tony Thompson would beat Fury.

Vitali had his shortcomings, which were chiefly that if he couldn't impose himself, he couldn't win. But against Fury, he imposes himself. Pronto.

I've watched Vitali's fights and there are times when he is frustrated, cut, maybe being made to look bad, tired., and he takes a gulp of air and walks forward and finds something to keep the fight moving in his favour.
