I listened to two episodes, and I will definitely come back for more.

I like your energy of making such many episodes, I hope you can keep it up. IMO too many podcasts try to do an hour of 45 minutes every time. If there is subjects to discuss for seven minutes, then do a seven minutes episode, just the way you have.

Your voice is very good for speaking job, you have the knowledge, and I like the 'freestyle' expressions you use, such as 'damn strawweights' and 'from Austin to Boston, from Maine to Spain'.

I can think of two things to consider (not necessarily to change).

First, most of podcasts and radio shows are written so that they would sound like ad-libbing, yet you seem to be actually ad-libbing, which is very difficult to do. Speaking bit faster might bring more 'energy' to the podcasts and the way to do that would be to make a more clear script for each show.

If you don't want to write everything down, it might be an idea worth trying to include a small intro to the start. Something in the lines of 'in this episode I will talk about .... and after that, I'll also consider...'. Knowing what will follow makes it easier to listen and follow.

Second, when you speak about stuff, you might want to stress some points more than others, either with your voice, or by using vocabulary ('to me, the MAIN point in this matter is...'). Even though your voice is great, it will be difficult to pick up all information, if everything comes out at same steady state.

All in all, very good and interesting work so far and I hope you keep it going

You should engage listeners more. Do some boxing trivia and whomever gets it first in the comments section gets a shout out in the next video.

REED Has Similar Feelings as Most Fightbeaters, In Regards to Sugar, But For Whatever Reason BLACK Boxing Fans Hold Him In High Esteem.

“Sarge”, the Guy that Owns Pugilism Company, has Known REED For 10-15 Years Now, and has Playfully Referred to him as “Black Bert Sugar” All the While. Like REED, He’s Hung Around the Local Gyms Forever and Heard Him Talking Boxing.

First Few Times He Did It, REED Thought of Jake’s Less Than Favorable Perception of Bert Sugar and Shared it w/Sarge, to No Avail.

“Man, Bert Sugar is the Mecca, He Knows EVERYTHING About Boxing. You’re Like the Black Version.”

Even Errol Spence, Upon Hearing a Couple Podcasts and the Moniker, was Like “That’s Some BIG Shoes to Fill. Bert Sugar Knows EVERYTHING About Boxing.”

Bert Sugar’s Got a Lot of Motherfuckers Fooled, Apparently. He’s Like the Santa Claus of Boxing. :D

    VERY Constructive Feedback Ugo!

REED’s 1st Couple Podcasts were 20+ Minutes and Drew Little Interest.

Sarge is Even Older Than REED, But He’s Tech Savvy and In Tune w/How to Package to “Today’s” Listeners. There’s Dudes Out There Getting 2k Views In 1 Day, For a 3-5 Minute Video.

Per Sarge, the Key is to Be 1st or Among the First to Release Fresh News, While REED was Initially RESTING On Content Until He Had Enough For 20+ Minutes. Didn’t Like it at First, But the Views Instantly Increased When REED Shortened Shit Up.

“Today’s” Listener Would Rather Sit Thru 10 2-Minute Videos Than 1 20-Minute Video.

REED Jots Down The Topics He’ll Speak On and Bullet Points for Each, But Not Much More Beyond That.

The Intro is DEFINITELY Shaky. Sarge Wants REED To Mention Subscribing, Encouraging Listeners to Comment, Hit Bell Icons and All That Shit. Needs Work for Sure.

REED Speaks Slower Than Normal by Design. Having a Southern Accent Can Fuck Up Words and Make Them Hard to Decipher for Those NOT from the South. Most Southerners Speak Very SLANG Oriented and Shorten Words.

A Southern Accent is ALMOST a Certified Speech Impediment. :D

    Really Appreciate Your Feedback Ugo!

    Chris Rock? Really? :D:D

Truth Be Told, REED Can’t Stand The Sound of His Own Voice. NASAL as Fuck, Literally Stopped Up Every Other Podcast, Breathing from his Mouf’, the Southern Accent.

But it’s UNIQUE If Nothing Else. Only Person REED’s Ever Heard That Sounded Remotely Like Him is his Ol’ Man.

A Voice Doesn’t have to Be “Great” Per Se, Just Unique, REED Guesses.

Do you release on podcast platforms, or just YouTube?

Friends of mine do a true crime podcast, it gets 7k listens per episode, but they use pure podcast platforms like Podbean and iTunes.

Clear Idea of Topics, Bullet Points on Each, Winging It From There. REED’s Naturally Looooooong Winded, So He Doesn’t Have to Write Tooooo

Pretty Sure Sarge Only Releases on YouTube.

Literally, REED Clicks “Extras “ and “Voice Memos” On his Phone, Records and Sends it to Sarge. He Does Everything Else.

I remember, way back in the day, 1998, or so..................the only access Irish had to proper boxing stuff was subscription TV which his student ass couldn't afford, or to go into Dublin centre and read the magazines off the shelf.

But there was this Radio Show called "Today FM" which had a former soccer player called Eamon Dunphy with his own 2 hour show every weekday. He always strived to have the boxing people on and I have 4 recordings on cassette tape. One is Bill Cayton calling in to talk about Mike Tyson in the run up to the Julius Francis fight. Another is Steve Collins talking about his proposed fight with Roy Jones. A third is a Northern Irish journalist called Harry Mullins calling in to talk about the passing of Jerry Quarry.

At the time, Mullins was in hospital for Cancer and was so doped out he said that Quarry had knocked out Ken Norton in a round. He basically got his Jerry-Gerry confused , but I had no way of knowing this at the time and only discovered it later.

Then the final recording was dumb ass Bert Sugar talking about the Holyfield vs Lewis fiight, Part Un.

On comes Bert talking mad shit. You can tell from the recording that he is making it up because he stops himself and corrects himself a lot. He tried to say that Holyfield could go through the gears to beat Lewis but then stops himself and says "Albeit Holyfield only has one gear! Forward!!" Well I guess Holyfield had a broken transmission when he and Lewis fought cos he seemed to stay in Neutral all night.

When I relistened to it years later I could see it was devoid of any real boxing content "Holyfield is a Warrior!!" all that sort of jazz..........and Sugar was deliberately trying to use words that he knew the Irish-English audience would use, instead of saying "Bettor" he would say "Punter", shit like that.

When I compared it to the Cayton interview you could see the stark contrast. Sugar could speak for 20 minutes and not say anything. Cayton in his opening sentence on Tyson said a lot.

Dunphy: "How good was Mike Tyson".

Cayton: "I am glad you asked, because most people have forgotten".

Cayton was so bereft of hype and excitement that you got the feeling he had something to say, which he did. Sugar sounded like some random fan they got off the street, dialling in his opinions.

Well as a Golota fan you would know about one punch Tyson KO's.

Did you hear about the Polish boxer?

His coach told him boxing was like poker.

So he quit while he was ahead.
