My wife's recently deceased uncle apparently claimed to be a Jew descendant from Spain to gain the acceptance of the Jewish businessmen community in New York and he made a fortune. I found out about that during the funeral eulogy by famed preacher Jorge Raschke. I had to contain myself from laughing.
Well obviously im talking about not decedents, but converted. Since Jew is not a race. I told you recently i was thinking of converting.
He was a savvy albeit ruthless businessman. He knew he couldn't make his business as successful as he wanted surrounded by Jewish community that will keep him at bay for not being one of their own. He did some genealogy research (this was in 70s) and 'found out' he was descendant of 'Jews from Spain'. After that 'discovery' he was accepted among the local Jewish community who then patronized his business. Like I said, he made a fortune to the point that he owned a shopping center which he later sold for $10 million. He owned jewelries and other business plus had realty investments.
It wasn't me you told that. Never got your memo and I just fell from my chair reading that now. Are you out of your mind??
What identity issues? Im America, born and raised. Dad was a Black Puerto Rican, mother was mixed. Grew up in the south Bronx and when I could, i left. My wife is Puerto Rican and I’m happy. What does any of that have to do with religion?
