I’d say “good fighter” is the fairest description of him. He cm beat and compete with other good fighters like Matthysse and Taylor but he’s not quite good enough to beat them consistently and be a dominant champ.

 

Yeah youre right, should have written elite instead of good.

But to be honest, the mathysse he beat was not the prime one, and even prime mathysse was overrated as fuck

 

Josh Taylor looks like he has a weak chin.

 

I don't get that feeling.

The stupid fuckin idiot Ohara Davies if nothing else is a big puncher, and Taylor held up to his power well. And Postol is NOT a feather fist. He has sneaky pop in his right hand.

Taylor seems to have a solid chin.

I think Taylor will decision Ramirez if that fight comes off, but I think Ramirez is a very live underdog.

 

Did taylor legitimately beat postol? From the rbr, sounded like a very close fight.

 

It’s on YouTube. Postol fell apart late. His lack of real power and his age an inactivity seemed to cost him the fight. To be fair to Taylor if Postol was young, active and a big puncher he’d be an elite fighter and Taylor wouldn’t be fighting him in his 13th pro fight.

 

He did. I watched it. But it was a 7-5ish win. Goddamn sure not 10-2 as the corrupt judges had it.

 

He boxed the absolute shit out of Davies and Ohara couldn't land anything significant for the most part. Davies fights like a retard, it was a great shot the other night but if his opponent has any kind of ring IQ he will never be in a position to land a shot like that. That's why I can't read too much into his chin off that fight alone. It's like Kevin Mitchell boxing the ears off of Breidis Prescott, yeah it's a good win against a big puncher but it still doesn't prove you can take a punch.

 

You can't compare Taylor to Kevin Mitchell.

Mitchell got blown away in 3 by super scrub Katsidis.

Taylor already has a better resume than Mitchell, and Postol is better than anyone Mitchell faced, let alone beat.

Damn. You Brits really aren't supporting your guy here. Taylor is a quality fighter. Probably not P4P material, but he's easily a top 5 guy at 140 already.

I'd favor Prograis over him though. Regis right now seems to be the best guy at 140. But other than him, Taylor might be the number 2 guy.

But once again, the Mitchell comparison is an insult. Taylor is clearly way better than Mitchell ever was.

 

Taylor is clearly better than Mitchell, I agree, my point was though that the Prescott fight didn't prove he could take a punch even though he was in there with a banger as he didn't really get tagged (which is a credit to Mitchell) and the same applies to Taylor against Davies. The Prescott fight was before Mitchell was exposed against Katsidis.

I like Taylor though, for the record, he's a really good fighter.
