Will be surprised if cherry doesn't squirm out of this because going in i too favor porter.

 

I also think porter takes it

 

For awhile I favored Cherry, but he looked to be struggling at times with shot ass, scrubby Rios until finally catching him.

Considering Porter is fresher, bigger, stronger, and MUCH quicker than Rios, yeah, he would should be slightly favored.

 

Garcia's counter punching you'd think would shine against a guy like Porter. But I think at 147, the power just isn't there.

I can see Porter grabbing a deserved decision in a good scrap.

 

Word is this fight will be finalized soon. It all makes sense... the winner fights Thurman in a rematch, and all three continue avoiding Spence.

 

Well at least they're not fighting bums.

 

Garcia-Porter is a done deal, for Aug. 25th at Barclays.

I dunno, I had initially said Garcia... then Porter... but I think I'm gonna roll with my original pick. I think Cherry Garcia will be too skilled for the grappler.

I guess this becomes the premier fight of the summer (a quiet summer). M.Garcia vs Easter is a borderline mismatch imo.

 

Garcia has surprised before when he was the underdog and he seems to be the underdog again here.

Could go either way. Intangibles will play a big role. Porter however, has a habit of coming up short in all his big time fights so that may be something to look out for.

 

Truly could go either way.

A Garcia win could end up being better for us anyway. Cause that means Spence-Garcia, which means the Danny Gift gets the ass whuppin we've always wanted him to take.
