Precisely. It requires numbers but not just for the sake of numbers, but some unity. (at least on the surface)

For example if we go back to the World Cup. If one and only one giant boycotted they would only up themselves for criticism and scrutiny. "Oh your FA is completely free of corruption? Bunch of hypocrites" etc.

FIFA and its propagandists won't be able to play that card when it's a dozen or more countries.

You should start on campaign of getting nations to boycott the event but somehow try to play both sides and get Ireland and the U.S. to remain. :D

I won't even lie... I'd root for Ireland

US against anybody else, I support them but the World Cup breeds ethnic tribalism so IRELAND!!!!

Haha yeah I'm pretty much the same. Football is different in that regard. In any other sporting competition I'd root for Canada.

Where Hoot is the opposite. Attends England vs Scotland matches in three lions gear and a sign reading "God Save the Cromwell".

All the Scottish teams doing well tonight. Hibs and Sevco both through, Aberdeen into extra time vs Burnley, more shots on goal, more zcorners, hope they can pull it out

    Aw ma wee bhoy

Can't overemphasise how good this lad is; never loses a 50/50, always picks the right pass, unerringly accurate, sees things 2 seconds early, will gladly run through a wall in the 93rd minute. I don't often hype up celtic players - I think the only two I'd have previously rated as certs to succeed at an upper level premiership side besides larsson were wanyama and van dijk - tierneys on that level. May his heart rule his head (and greedy cunt agent) for many years to come.

Apparently at Sheffield Wednesday? Wikipedia says he's scored 30 in 70 roughly so he's doing no-bad but, aye, he's a good example of the peril of overrating guys who look superficially good playing for shellik.... with the right attributes you can be merely decent overall and still do a turn for a team who regularly has >60% possession and wins nearly every game. We'll see how Stuart Armstrong does this season for instance, my guess is merely 'ok'. Likewise, for all his attributes I think Leigh Griffith would have a tough time in the prem and probably settle down to being a useful tier 2 guy. Tierneys def a whole cut above that sort

    I agree

I mentioned Hooper as a way of supporting what you said about greedy agents etc

Area Commander Chief Inspector Alan Bowater said: “Supporters of both sides should be able to attend a football match without getting caught up in violence and disorder. Also, innocent members of the public should not have to be faced with the threat of encountering it.

Police trying to take the fun out of everything.

The prudence of starting mass brawls in the spiritual home of recreational gang fighting is probably questionable.

Do you think NYC's toughest gangs the Jets and Sharks could hold their own in Glasgow?

Aye even the commentators on the cycling yesterday kept mentioning the 'challenging' surface, lol. He should try walking the pavements in finnieston, it's like East Jerusalem. In jesus' time.
