Garcia vs Easter: Final Predictions

This is like a classic DLH fight. Everytime Garcia throws the crowd responds as well as the announcers. Easter's winning this fight.

Garcia is the better puncher and I expect him to catch Easter late and take him out. The height is bothering him a bit but as Easter tires and gets sloppy I expect Garcia to catch him.

 

The fist in the air thing Garcia does at the end of pretty much every round bothers me irrationnaly

 

Easter is finally fighting like he is trying to win now. That throw away jab that couldn't hurt a fly wasn't enough to win a fight.

 

Easter's punch output is so limited that he must be as gassed as Whyte was in the late rounds against Parker

 

Mikey has no shot in living fuck against Spence. None.

 

That tripleheader sucked. 3 mismatches and 3 guys that lost that didn't try to win.

Easter followed big bros game plan of going the distance without letting his hands go.

 

Yup. Total survival mode.

 

Spence would absolutely destroy Garcia. No interest at all in that match

 

Which Garcia stands a better shot against Spence, Danny or Mikey

 

I am all for it. Mikey's recent competition hasn't given him any problems at all. I want to see Mikey challenged and outside of Lomachenko nobody at 135 can challenge him.

Even though Mikey is a better fighter, Danny’s size gives him a better chance.

But that said, I would favor Mikey over Danny at 147 if he’s able to maintain most of his sharpness and stamina.

Spence would just run all over Mikey.

I maintain that Mikey beats Loma.

 

If Danny's left hook lands on the Easter Bunny, the Bunny doesn't get up.

Danny is by far a bigger puncher and bigger man and that makes a more dangerous opponent for Spence than Mikey.

 

Danny by far. He has at least a puncher chance. Mickey would only get runned out of the ring

 

Easter fought like shit. Did he really think he was going to run and jab to a win?

 

Once garcia got his timing down after a couple rounds easter went into survival mode. Not sure how you could have had easter ahead any time after round 2

 

Easter Bunny wasn't lying when he said he took his gay lover's advice. Just like About Bullshit, he was content with simply going the distance.

However, it wasn't a perfect performance by Mikey. He could have done a much better job of cutting the ring, and breaking Easter's body.

 

Is he angling for that matchup?
Or is Lomachenko on the cards?

 

He's more than angling for it. Looks like Showtime is eyeing Spence-Garcia for December.

Loma-Mikey is never gonna happen. Gotta love boxing...

Spence-Garcia will probably be officially announced in September-October...

I think it’s gonna look similar to the first Cotto-Margarito fight with Mikey landing some nice looking counters that Spence walks through and breaks Mikey’s body down round by round.

If Garcia is going to beat Spence the most important part would be out punching and countering Spence in the middle of the ring. He’s not stupid enough to try to jog around the perimeter and flurry. He’d definitely get run over.

 

Agreed. I can't see a way he actually wins that one, but the only way he has a chance is by standing his ground and taking the centre of the ring.

It's just hard for Danny to fathom a fighter who actually has balls and isn't a cherry picker. It's like a foreign concept to him.

 

I like Garcia but I don't give him much of a chance against Spence. If there was a huge difference in speed and footwork I could see him giving Spence trouble, but that's not Mikey's game.

I give him credit but I don't see how he handles the incoming firepower of Spence. Neither guy has great head movement but the size and power difference will be too much. I'm guessing Garcia sees a similar fight to what he had with Broner...he will be sadly mistaken.

This is a fight I don't want to see because I like both guys but give mad credit to Garcia for wanting it.

On the side of Spence, I think he will brutally take out Garcia. 1). because that's his nature. 2) I think he'll feel disrespected in the fact a smaller guy would challenge him so he'll throw hands with extreme malice. He knows that not only does he have to win, it has to be dominate and impressive.

Garcia and Lomo is a more competitive match but it will never happen.

For the record, I'd give Garcia a better shot to beat Danny Garcia than Spence.

I didn't think he'd win a decision (check what I said during the fight) but Easter was ahead to me not because of what he was doing specifically but Garcia wasn't doing much and his shots were getting picked off by Easter's gloves.

Thus my citing the DLH reference.

 

Easter didn’t land much either. Garcia was landing the more professional punches. Easter was winning after round one but that was it. Easter won about 2 rounds overall and was happy to survive. Easy fight for Garcia.

 

The narrative will say that Spence is a huge favorite over Mikey due to size. But my opinion is Spence is a better fighter than Mikey in general... ON TOP of size.
