Just saw it. It's fucking awesome. The bar is set even higher for action franchises or any action movie in general. Literal 9/10 at worst. I'd go as high as 9.5.

 

I’m not surprised, Tom Cruise can’t put a foot wrong and the MI franchise has been fantastic all the way through. Plus you have Henry Caville in this one. I may have to watch this tonight

I saw it again last night. Best action movie of all time.

Pretty clueless about music though.

I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. I had the sort of uncomfortable feeling I get when a movie doesn’t flow well and that’s what the problem with this film was. I think there were just way too many storylines for this film to possibly flow right. You had:
The issue with the white queen
The issue with the new agent
The issue between the heads of CIA vs NIF
The issue with him being undercover during much of the film
The issue with the return of the villain from the last film
The issue of the last films villain’s soldiers being a threat to the world
The issue with his wife
The issue with the plutonium
The issue with him balancing one life versus many
The issue of the female agent/friend returning

Did I miss anything?

This was just too much stuff to try and balance and I realize it was all supposed to come full circle but it just didn’t flow well for me.

Also what’s up with the returning villain being on some joker level of planning tactics and strategies?
