The heads of a powerful corporation.

I think I'm gonna side with Cdogg on this one.

The question is, does it count as a film noir?

Speaking of The Conversation, Enemy of the State, the 90s Will Smith flick, was HEAVILY influenced by The Conversation. And Gene Hackman being in Enemy of the State was definitely a wink wink casting.

Ummm... how is that political though? It was quite possibly a private company.

That's opening the door for every business movie ever made to be considered a political movie.

Is Office Space a political comedy?

In The Conversation, there's also no proof that Robert Duval was killed for any political gain. The exact motive of the murder is never revealed.

More than anything, the movie is a character study on loneliness.

Yes. Watch it. One of the best in the genre.

Also watch The Parralax View, which is arguably better than Condor.

The motive for the murder is that his wife and her lover want him out of the way

Enemy of the State is an indirect sequel to The Conversation. Hackman plays the same character.

I'll toss two seldom known 70's little gems:

The Groundstar Conspiracy starring George Peppard and Hauser's Memory starring David McCallum

I've heard how good this one is, I just keep forgetting to watch it. Maybe tonight.

Unfortunately, I have seen the shitty remake with Bruce Willis and Richard Gere.

The novel by Frederick Forsythe is fucking amazing.
The movie doesn´t quite reach that level, but it´s totally engrossing - highly recommended.

Ok cool. I'll make sure this is the next movie I watch.

    Anymore 70s gems to recommend?

Last night I watched 80s thriller 52 Pick-Up on Hulu. Stupid ass movie, but kind of entertaining in a dumb way.

Just watched it. Thought it was pretty good; not great. But not cheesy TV drama either. Quality film.

I've seen both. Both are good. I wouldn't call either great, but I think Klute is better.
