It's simply not a terrible film

The upcoming documentary "Finland Gets Vaporized By Hydrogen Bombs", on the other hand... quality

I agree it is not a terrible film, but I think that is much because of Clint.

I have told it here before but I have seen a remake of this movie, Missionary Man, starring Dolph Lundgren, where the horses are replaced by motorbikes.

That is a poor film, even though it has nearly the same script. And that is because there is no depth in it.

Eastwood on the other hand is a fantastic actor and because of him the movie is actually pretty good

    Think about hockey.

Some of the greatest players ever have played in terrible teams. Housley, Oates, Linden, Joseph, Kapanen, Toskala have almost alone carried their teams near the cup.

So the teams around them have been terrible, even though the result hasn't been (because of the one exceptional individual included).

Pale Rider without Eastwood is a terrible film, he makes it solid with his performance.

Just like it says in the headline, Kid Dynamite

Pale Rider was also directed by competent director Clint Eastwood.

    C'mon man. Terrible Film...............Good Performance.

Not Good actor, make movie good, grunt, grunt.

"Godfather II" just happened to be a classic because the casting Directors didn't decide to use Jerry Lewis, Jerry Mathers, Henny Youngman, Cheech Marin and George Hamilton in the lead roles.

    Uh oh, another slow mover

Godfather II had also other great performances, good script, clever point and memorable music. It would have been a great film even with some lesser actor.

Pale Rider had none of those. Simplistic plot, nothing original to say, weak and even ludicrous acting. All it had was Clint and his superb talent

Ok, enough with those two trouble-makers, Carlos will take care of them.

Iron Lady was a crappy film even though Streep acted masterfully

Pale Rider is not a terrible film. Also guys don't just drop accomplished actors in mediocre films as the answer...it's not about who the actor is, it's about the performance itself.

It's not supposed to be an overly logical film... it's a fuckin disaster movie, not Lawrence of Arabia. The main objective of a disaster film is to be exciting and compelling... which Poseidon Adventure is.

Poseidon Adventure, unlike any other disaster flicks, also features characters you actually give a shit about.

A disaster flick doesn't have to be some Godfather-like work of art.

I don't see how it's funny. I see how it's exciting as Hell. You're completely full of shit if you tell me TPA isn't super rewatchable.

A disaster movie that's so bad it's funny is The Happening.

TPA is a solid film. Truth be told, one of the best ACTION films of the 70s.

    Paul Giamatti in 'Crumb'.
Tim Roth in that awful Burton remake of 'Planet of the Apes'
    Jeff Bridges in 'King Kong'.
Charlize Theron in 'The Devil's Advocate'
    Al Pacino in "Bobby Deerfield'
Raul Julia in "Moon Over Parador' (in fact Raul Julia was in a lot of shitty films like 'Eyes of Laura Mars' but always delivered good performances)

I refuse to watch it and never will, but I imagine Tim Roth probably did a good job in that FIFA propaganda film where he plays Sepp Blatter, purely because he's a really good actor.

I wouldn't watch that film if they had dug the dead corpse out of her hole and set it alight for the finale.

Aye, The Poseidon Adventure is a classic disaster flick. Granted, the competition in the genre isn't all that strong, but TPA is one of the best in it.

If they did that and then wrapped the charred remains in a Tricolor I might at least glance at it
