Hearns was just a different caliber fighter from Palomino. The only question is does Palomino last the distance or lose a wide UD. He was tough as nails, but if anybody could crack his chin it'd be Hearns. Either way, this is a Hearns win.
Palomino was alright, but hes far from the level of Hearns. This is an easy win for hearns, unless he self implodes
But wasn’t Duran’s win over said Palomino one of the reasons sited on fightbeat for why Duran should be considered such a world beater at welterweight (along with “Montreal”)? Therefore Palomino can’t be far from the level of Hearns...he must be a motherfucking terminator!
Can't see what Palomino can do here... he was a very good fighter but Tommy Hearns is the most unique matchup problem of all time... he can be beat but only by a precious few and it seems like you either achieve the rare victory or you lose big either by him blasting you out or by you cutting your losses and shutting down offensively to lose a wide decision... Palomino can't do anything here but gamely get chopped up, IMO
