I couldn't beat her in a boxing match because in that sort of contest I wouldn't be able to muster any rage or anger or have the talent to bring my power to bear against somebody who was adept at boxing basics.

But if she threatened my wellbeing on the street, I would get angry and pull her eyes out with my thumbs.

Boxing and fighting are different things. I can always box during a fight but I might not be able to fight during a boxing match.

The setting is always important,context is key.

I often find that when I am in the wrong it actually inhibits my fighting ability.......it's like a voice inside is saying "You know you are wrong, fuck off home".........but if I feel I have been chumped off, I've often taken and dealt blows I would never dream of doing if I felt I wasn't 100% in the right.

I’ve never even trained to throw a proper punch before. Any advantage I have in punch resistance or endurance is pretty much negated by the huge skill disparity , since at the end of the day all she needs to do is punch me more times(likely) and not get knocked out in a 30 minutes(also likely)

Under Queensbury rules, very likely would have a decent shot of outlasting her. I can probably take her punches a lot better than she can take mine and over time this would matter.

Keep in mind Mr McGregor is a world class athlete who trained about that length of time for a fight in a sport he had already practiced for years as a youth, and still nearly fell over in exhaustion at about the 10th round.

Seems as though boxing is indeed hard.
I had thought about it a bit, and camento the conclusion that I’d be just as likely faint from exhaustion as she was in an extended rounds bout.


I can however say with a fair bit of confidence she likely wouldn’t KO me under normal circumstances.

 

Height is what it is....some women are taller than some men, but strength, resilience, speed, power, reflexes. Men can take body punches far better than women can etc etc.
