I obviously haven't read every post but I believe the general consensus not only here but among fans/pundits is that Golovkin was the clear winner.

I agree with that based upon having watching the fight.

Whether or not some people have exaggerated matters has never been my argument. I agree it was competitive. I agree GGG didn't dominate. I simply don't agree that the fight was close enough that Canelo deserved a draw.

    Just sad the weigh in.

Canelo out of character tried to intimidate Triple G and it was a miserable fail.

I think he might be legit shook.

Very remniscent of when Ronda Rousey tried to intidmidate Holly Holm then had that emotional tirade.

yes, you would think it's the case, yet, all evidences point toward it hindering stamina, as the research I posted before shows

Fights sell better if there's a grudge. If there isn't one then it needs to be manufactured. Get some of those undecided buyers who fall for the hype. Weigh-ins are the last chance the promotion has to display "bad blood".

I can accept that. I can see a 7-5 for GGG. I had it 6-6 but 7-5 GGG is reasonable too.

However what I was referring to was the rhetoric around here that suggested that GGG dominated and/or won easily.

By the way, I'm expecting a "Big Drama Show" tomorrow. Seems like legit bad blood. I think we're going to have drama.

I'm looking at this fight again tonight and canelo is definitely landing the better punches. Golovkin was missing a hell of alot.

Vergil Ortiz should be on the televised undercard instead of shot ass Chocolatito.

I've been going back and forth but my final prediction is GGG by unanimous decision. Canelo simply doesn't have the stamina to keep up with that pressure.

I've just read this fucking fraud pick just about every scenario and each fighter. So regardless of who wins tomorrow and how, he'll hop on here and claim "Just as I called it!"

Funniest thing was Hopkins during the GBP card last night, saying ggg is gonna have, "to change something up." No. Not really. If ggg does a repeat of the first fight, he wins.

I just don’t believe Canelo can really change anything from last time. I hope to God that Golovkin knocks the diva the fuck out.

But if I was a betting man, I’d say it’s going to the cards again.

Xplosive is obsessed with me still it seems.

Anyway for the record if I say it’s a final pick I stand by that prediction. If Canelo happens to win because of body shots...well, I say that I called that too. Muhahahaha!!

This seems like an appropriate moment to remind Sly that 8-4 was literally one of the most common scores. It wasn't a case of "A few select people gave Gennady 8 rounds", basically half the media who scored the fight gave Golovkin 8 or 9 rounds

    MMADecisions.com

Anyone thinks the first fight was a draw has a pair of sweaty ginger testicles firmly glued to their eyes. No one can truly believe that, not even Canelo's fat ugly mom.

Yes the first fight was competitive-ish, Golovkin didn't dominate or beat him from pillar to post, but he won the fight absolutely clear as day. There is no argument for Canelo winning or even a draw. Canelo just scooted around on his fat little ginger legs and landed the odd flashy counter, while Golovkin was marshalling him around the ring, controlling the fight, landing heavy shots, and doing the more consistent work.

9-3 is not a competitive score line, nor is your description of the fight. That’s my point. In my eyes it was competitive.

I scored it a draw on first viewing and on subsequent viewings I score a draw still. GGG won more rounds clearly than Canelo did and won something like 5 in a row so that why the perception is that he won clearly but Canelo won 3 rounds clearly and 3 rounds closely from what I saw and there was an additional round that GGG won closely. GGG won the popular vote but in a ten point must system Canelo ties in the electoral college.

I think Alvarez will win a decision.

PPV is only £17 here so I may well buy it.
