If not, what do you think you could learn and retain in 6 months?
How to jab properly?
How to keep a high-guard?
Jump rope for 15 minutes without a break?
How to keep punching for 3 minutes non-stop?
How to slip/dodge punches?
How to react when you take punches, both to the head and body?
Develop 1/4-decent footowork?
The list is endless, as you know...

I guarantee if you attempted to fight or even spar with Ann Wolfe by copying your boys Mayweather, Jones Jr or Muhammad Ali, you´d get your nose broken in Rd1...for a start.

 

Yes, I’ve done boxing before and we’ve discussed this before. I know the basics of boxing and I agree that it’s far from being as simple as it looks. It’s very technical; positioning, balancing, slipping and countering etc. Most importantly it require one hell of a lot of stamina....working those pads is hard as fuck. Exhausting!! I haven’t trained in years so obviously if I were to just step into a ring with a trained woman like a prime Wolfe I’ll be killed in under a round.

However I’m certain that given six months of professional training, any naturally athletically and strong man will learn and be practiced enough in the art to defeat a typical top female. Men have too many natural physical advantages over women to lose..once they know boxing basics.

 

Now...as for that 6’4 shot putter from New Zealand....

If she grabbed me she’d (wo)manhandle me for sure. She’d definitely be much stronger than me. Shot putting requires serious strength.

But if it is in a boxing ring and we’re only allowed to throw punches, it’ll be a different story .....

 

What if Ann Wolfe, for all her years of training negates your opening Mayweather salvo and chit-chat and hits a perfect, counter-punch to your liver?

Plus, you have no height or reach advantage over Wolfe.

 

A perfect shot to the liver can cause anyone’s demise. Also height and reach can be negated by foot speed and hand speed (and headmovement and reflexes). Men are faster of hand and foot. Also Wolfe was tough against women but taking a man’s punch is a whole different story.

Before the May weather NcGregor fight I was saying that Connor has one punch power in the Octagon but demonstrating that power with 10lb gloves against an athlete that is trained specifically to take punches over and over again for 12 rounds is a different matter entirely. We all saw that connor’s much vaunted power didn’t show up in that fight.

Wolfe’s ability to take the punches of women means nothing against the strength of a man.

But, I can assure you, taking punches off someone shorter and faster than you is very different than you´d expect...regardless of weight difference.

McGregor/Mayweather was fought with 8 ounce gloves. Not 10 ounce.
McGregor doesn't have any punching power in the sport of boxing. It's harder to hurt professionals who are conditioned to give and take.
In the UFC, most of those fighters can't box for sh*t. They have very little training in pure boxing and the ability to absorb punches.

 

Sly would have a hard enough time beating Anne of Green Gables.
